Caffe Ducale In Pesaro

Good café, nice location, cheap

We stopped here for Latte Macchiatto and Campagnola Salad, which were served quickly and were good. The location on the main square is ideal for a quick visit to Pesaro.

Prime location (actually, since it's the only restaurant in the square, there's not much choice or competition). I've been there twice, the first time for a coffee and a cookie, which was perfectly normal. The next day I returned for lunch. I had a pizza, which was obviously reheated—even though they have an oven—because the dough was incredibly hard and impossible to cut. One plus: the menu includes a pitcher of water. The only positive (besides the location and opening hours) is that the people who work there are (rather distracted) but super helpful and kind. If there's an opportunity to go somewhere else, even better. Otherwise, don't expect anything wonderful.

I don't understand the negative comments about the food quality or its tastiness: we had an aperitif and they gave you a platter full of pizzas and focaccia baked right there (they have an open oven, so I wouldn't say anything about that). The staff is super friendly and the prices are excellent for being right in the center of Pesaro.

Prices are higher in the square.

Excellent coffee and a wide variety of sweet and savory treats on display. I appreciated the quality of the coffee and the enviable location. While I found that the quality of the service could be improved. The bathroom was not very clean but in case of need, it was fine.
