Caffe della Basilica In Torino

I discovered this nice place while walking through the center of Turin this morning and after reading the positive reviews I decided to have dinner with my wife that same evening. Excellent welcome albeit a little serious, very welcoming retro atmosphere. Sufficiently extensive menu, especially the starters: we appreciated the mixed starter including veal with tuna sauce, Russian salad, chopped fassona and tomino cheese with green sauce as well as the veal tongue with red stew which my wife chose. Interesting first courses, especially pasta. Adequate choice of desserts: excellent lemon or green apple sorbet. I definitely recommend this place which also offers a space in a small external gallery next to the entrance. I would like to suggest to the person who gave me the bill, before directly presenting the POS with the amount to be paid, to give the customer the printed non-fiscal detail which in my case I had to request: subsequently I was obviously issued a regular receipt. Prices aligned with the level of the context and the central location of the restaurant. It is hoped that in the future the managers of the venue will comment on some of the numerous reviews received which, if formulated objectively, can be a useful reference for further improving the quality level.

Nice and typical place where you can simply taste an excellen Italian coffee (espresso) or eat something (I suggest vitello tonnato). Prices slightly over the market. Kind staff. Essential menu. (Avg price 15-20 euro per person for lunch)
