Caffè del Duomo In Catania

Atmosphere: traditional, clean, and well-maintained, with the great advantage of its prime location in Piazza Duomo. It's a pleasant place to sit, watch the world go by, and enjoy the city's historical scenery. Service: reasonable. It functions correctly, without any major positive or negative highlights, as expected for a spot frequented by tourists. Food and drinks: • The gelateria is very good, with quality ice cream. • The sweets are well-made and pleasing. • It's a good choice for a coffee or a drink, especially during a break between visits. Price and value for money: The prices are a bit high, clearly influenced by the location. Considering you're in one of Catania's main tourist attractions, the cost may make sense. However, compared to other cafes and pastry shops in the city, the value for money is lower. Verdict It's worth a visit for a coffee, an ice cream, or a drink, enjoying the view of the Duomo and the atmosphere of the square. It's not a place for longer meals or in-depth gastronomic experiences, but it works well as a strategic stop on a tourist itinerary.

From outside looks like regular tourists place, but we were amazed by quality and taste of coffees and sweets. Good prices also.

An excellent experience at Bar del Duomo, a highly recommended stop. The granita with brioche is truly delicious: fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced in flavor, accompanied by a soft and fragrant brioche, ideal for breakfast or a delicious snack. We also tried the Margherita pizza, which was simply exceptional: well-cooked dough, light and easy to digest, quality toppings with flavorful tomato sauce and succulent mozzarella. You can taste the care taken in the preparation and the attention to the ingredients. The diner deserves a special mention: a wide selection, always fresh and delicious. Each dish is tastefully prepared and is already inviting to the eye. The added value is definitely the staff: kind, friendly, and always available, capable of making customers feel at ease from the first moment.

Delicious breakfast with cappuccinos, panzerotti crema, brioche con crema, and ravioli con ricotta. The cappuccino wasn't the best, but perfectly acceptable. Fast service, and the prices were reasonable for Catania.

A very good gastronomic experience! The service by Ignazio was especially friendly and the space, however old-fashioned... I recommend it!

Here you can be served at a table with the best view of the beautiful Piazza del Duomo. The staff is attentive and friendly. I chose dessert over pizza, but I would gladly return to try the other offerings on the menu (salads, first courses, meat, fish) or, perhaps, for an aperitif accompanied by music from street performers. I highly recommend it! :)

Excellent bar in Piazza Duomo in Catania. Good quality rotisserie. Excellent meat dishes. Excellent value thanks to The Fork discount. The dessert is beautiful to look at, but I expected better. The cannolo is a definite thumbs up. Overall, I recommend it with The Fork.

This café is located in the heart of Catania. The pistachio croissants are delicious, and the Cipollina is excellent. The only downside is the service—chaos and long waits, but that's standard here.
