Caffè del Corso In Siena

Very nice restaurant, I chose the lasagna which was very good, the service is fast despite it being busy. The waiter was adorable and helpful, I recommend.

To get out of the way... we entered here as we might have entered elsewhere. The place is cool, but the atmosphere is stale. There are still brushstrokes from a better time... The housekeeper, very dry, practically doesn't even look at you. The food is not bad, but what really killed us was the table service. €5 for the service, a basket of bread with 4 slices that we didn't try, we ordered pizza and when we finished, they put the same basket on another table... 🤦🏻‍♂️

Looking around while walking, we stopped to see their menu at the door and we looked at reviews and finally the only place in Siena that has carbonara pasta with guanciale, in the other places they put bacon or they don't have carbonara pasta at all. We ordered pasta carbonara and a four cheese pizza and everything was very good, pasta prices at ten euros and pizza the same, very cheap. I highly recommend this place over any restaurant that will charge you more and don't offer much quality in Siena But I don't give it five stars because the next day I wanted to repeat that it says on Google that it is even open until 2am but we went at 9pm to have dinner again like the day before and it was completely closed on a Tuesday, if it is the day it closes then they should put it on Google because the day before Monday it was open at that time.

First off, this is the only restaurant that serves food from 12-10pm. Others are closed from 5-7pm. Wonderful selection of drinks. Also, there's an option to make your own salad for an additional 3 euros, which includes a protein such as grilled chicken. Although we ate in the ally, at least check out the spiral marble staircase to the 3rd floor main space. The toilet happens to be up there, too. Our waiter, Samwelle, is quite good at speaking English.
