After the visit to the valley of the temples, the granita in this café in the center of Agrigento is absolutely not to be missed. Perfect day!

Caffe' Concordia since 1948: the best artisan pastry and ice cream shop in Agrigento and its province. As a native of Agrigento who has been working in the north for years, upon my return I always find the best and retain the most beautiful taste memories. From cappuccino (also possible without lactose and/or with soy milk) to rustic cake (typical Agrigento cake, excellent variant of cassata with ricotta, chocolate chips and flavored with cinnamon covered with almond peel) to ricottamisu' (excellent variant with usual mascarpone) with artisanal almond milk and finally the typical desserts that characterize our area (cannoli, genovesa, cartocci and other goodies). Precise: the granitas are very delicate and low in sugar, few flavors (lemon, almond and pistachio) so as not to exceed in the enormous production, preserving the quality of the flavors (just as for ice creams). Right and honest choice, obviously for aperitifs and abundant alternative tastes you can find many other places, but for those looking for good and genuine flavors you certainly won't go wrong here.

We came to the Concordia café because our accommodation had breakfast and we had to come here. It turned out that our breakfast was limited to 3e per person. They offered us a choice of drink and a piece of food, some pasta from the display case. The waitress spoke to the lady at the cashier and she made the bill, it was all 6.70 and she told the waitress to ask us for €1 for the difference, thinking that we wouldn't understand her or realize it... in the end I asked her for the bill. for everything and we were happy to pay him the 70 cents since the host of the "hostel" was to blame for everything for offering "breakfast included." Otherwise good apart from the treatment of the local people that is more sour than a 2-day-old espresso. The pastries themselves are good… the croissant is quite consistent, but they are not filled, they decorate them only on top and the normal coffee, whether they spit out or not, we don't know.

We had different ice cream and espresso, all very good. You sit outside in a very beautiful historical setting.
