Very nice place, elegant interior, with a beautiful image of the Dolomites, and tables outside too. Spacious, clean and well-kept. Wide choice when it comes to food

È da tanto che io e mio marito frequentiamo il caffè Carraro ma succede che ultimamente fanno aspettare veramente troppo per prendere le ordinazioni, anche se c'è poca gente. Inoltre, non fanno caso a chi è già seduto da tempo e spesso viene servito prima chi è appena arrivato. Infine, trovo di cattivo gusto spazzare per terra fra i tavoli quando c'è gente seduta ai tavolini. Una volta tutto questo non succedeva. Rimane un bar dove vado volentieri e spero che le cose possano migliorare.

It is a cozy coffee shop with various indoor and outdoor spaces. Gorgeous tables for sitting in the sun in winter and a lovely veranda with green plants. The coffee and croissants are of high quality but also the savory and lunch break dishes. The price is always right. When I arrive by train it is the perfect place for a coffee, an aperitif or a quick lunch.

28/06/2025: The atmosphere here is an experience. Well thought out. Clean decorations, nice aesthetic. Indoor and outdoor patio/garden seating under a tree. Even when it's hot outside, it's a bit cooler under the shade. If there were fans or misters/sprayers outside, it would be perfect. The food is OK, come here with friends. Great space to have a meal and hang out.
27/06/2025: Located in a beautiful historic building, right in the historic center of Vicenza. Very friendly staff, excellent choice on the menu, between tradition and innovation.

Il Torchio Antico

21/05/2025: I had lunch in this beautiful place with a group of 25 friends: we were served under the portico, tables set impeccably, delicious food. As a first course they brought fresh pasta flakes with pears, sautéed with gorgonzola and walnuts: a delight! The second course was a wonderful braised beef with Merlot di Breganze that melted in the mouth, with doré potatoes and vegetables. Finally, fruit salad with ice cream. Both white and red wines of excellent quality. Reasonable price, given the location and the quality of food and service. Definitely recommended. Just a note: when you book, give the right number of participants, to avoid unpleasant misunderstandings.
18/05/2025: Yesterday with a group of university students and professors from UNIPD we had lunch at the Torchio Antico restaurant. Compliments to Dr. Malinverni and his staff, we ate divinely well, excellent service and spectacular location! Thank you so much! Alice Battaglia
