18/10/2025: As a Roman, I can only compliment the chef. An extraordinary cacio e pepe, a fabulous amatriciana, an amazing carbonara. What can I say? I recommend anyone who loves Roman cuisine to stop by Locanda Antica Roma.
11/09/2025: I can only give 5 stars for everything! If I had to write a 4 Ristoranti style review, which is so trendy, I'd do this:
Location 10: When you walk in, you can't help but be amazed by the pleasant, elegant, and well-kept atmosphere with clear Roman influences.
Service 10: The staff is always attentive, kind, and smiling—there's nothing to complain about!
Menu 10: Exceptional! All the pasta dishes are expertly made, my favorite is the Amatriciana. If you like it, I recommend it, but you won't eat it anywhere else.
Country 10: Excellent value for money, considering the quality of the food, the staff, and the location...
If I had to give a more casual review, I'd just say go if you want to try authentic Roman cuisine. There's nothing like it in the province of Varese, but don't expect a trattoria like "La Parolaccia." Roman cuisine is so much more, and when done the way they do it, it's a guarantee. The appetizers and first courses are so good and delicious that we've never even gotten to the second courses.
For a family lunch, we had a cake made—INCREDIBLE!!!
