Amazing place! The food is absolutely incredible, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service couldn’t be better. Great music that really adds to the vibe. This bar truly saved us, as it was one of the few places open after 11 pm in the town. We couldn’t have asked for a better late-night spot!

Perfect for a late-night snack, the piadinas and focaccias are delicious, and the fried foods are also delicious! Excellent selection of Scotch if you want to break away from the traditional beers! Highly recommended!

I was looking for a pub in the area to watch AC Milan games, and I found something better: I found a pub that made us feel at home. The owners were very friendly. We'll definitely be back, even for dinner... the sandwiches I saw passing by were very inviting.

Il Bar Bolongaro è una piccola perla che conquista fin dal primo momento. L’atmosfera calda e accogliente ti fa sentire subito a casa, merito soprattutto di un personale gentilissimo, sempre sorridente e disponibile, pronto a prendersi cura di ogni cliente con grande attenzione. Il caffè è semplicemente eccellente: cremoso, aromatico, servito alla perfezione. Ideale per iniziare la giornata col piede giusto o concedersi una pausa di puro piacere. I panini sono una vera sorpresa, preparati con ingredienti freschi e di qualità. Una menzione speciale va al panino con la ’nduja: piccante al punto giusto, saporito e irresistibile. Una vera esplosione di gusto che vale il viaggio. L'accoglienza è impeccabile: ogni dettaglio è curato con amore e professionalità, creando un ambiente dove ci si sente davvero benvoluti.

Una vera perla sul lungolago di Stresa! Il Bar Bolongaro è il luogo perfetto per concedersi una pausa rilassante, con una vista mozzafiato sul lago maggiore e un’atmosfera accogliente che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il personale è estremamente gentile e disponibile, sempre pronto con un sorriso e attento a ogni esigenza del cliente. L’accoglienza calorosa è uno dei punti forti di questo locale: che si tratti di un caffè al volo(barman ottimo) o di un aperitivo al tramonto. Le proposte del bar sono ottime: caffè eccellente, pasticceria fresca e curata, e una selezione di cocktail preparati con cura, perfetti per accompagnare un tagliere con vista lago. Il tutto servito con gusto e attenzione ai dettagli. La posizione è semplicemente incantevole: sedersi ai tavolini esterni, magari nelle prime ore del mattino o durante il tramonto, è un’esperienza che vale da sola la visita.

07/02/2026: Very nice place...the service is fast and professional. Appetizer: breaded buffalo mozzarella bites with polenta and Vigezzo prosciutto...exceptional 😋 Grilled beef rib with potatoes 😋 Excellent quality meat, perfectly cooked...well done 👏👏 Restaurant worth a visit...I recommend it 😉
12/01/2026: While searching for a restaurant in Domodossola, I came across this lovely restaurant-pizzeria. It was a lovely evening, with good food, good wine, and good service. Prices were fair for the quality, and it was free of all the gourmet frills and Michelin-starred-style frills. Don't be put off by the unusual name (it was the name of the previous brewery the owners ran), the location (it's in a sort of alley), and even if the waiters ignored you when you entered (the room was full, but we were ignored for five minutes). My beef cheek was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes and tapas nabour were balanced and flavorful, my wife's vitello tonnato was very well cooked (pink in the center) with the sauce served on the side, and the bread and milk tart was very simple but delicious. The waitress was friendly but not intrusive and always gave us excellent advice, and the owner was kind and smiling. A distinctive touch: two MV Augustas are on display in the restaurant. I haven't tried the pizzas, which seem very thin and crispy. Well done! I'll definitely be back when I pass through Domodossola again.

25/02/2026: Anchovies, Rice, and Glory Bagna cauda that doesn't need permission. He stands up, slams his fists on his taste buds, and says, "Today we're eating well, and I'm in charge here." I ordered paniscia without even knowing what it was: it's not a normal risotto, it's a delicious energy concentrate made with lard isotopes. They say Piedmontese cuisine hugs you: today it hugged me tightly and stayed with me for a long time to make sure I'd understood the lesson. I should point out that no passengers were gassed in the car on the return trip. Not just the food, but the lovely people: I felt at home. Honorable mention for the copper pans that were used for ostrich eggs.
09/02/2026: A restaurant serving traditional Ossola and lakeside cuisine. The first courses are delicious, and the venison stew is even better. The polenta could be improved; it's a bit too salty. Highly recommended, and I definitely think I'll be back.
