Located on Siracusa's Ortigia Island, Caffe' Apollo enjoys a nice location facing the ruins of Apollo's temple and the prospicient square.
While the location is good, the outside tables are rather messy and very close to each other. However, the Caffe' Apollo offers an excellent selection of the local granite (flavoured grated ice) that is worth a visit, notwithstanding the service is not of an appropriate level: of the two staff that waited on us, one seemed very annoyed and the other far too much friendly!

We sat with a group of 10 people, Sara the waitress was very kind and very helpful, they also honored us with some appetizers for the aperitif together with the cocktail.

Small caffe serving gelato and a variety of pastry, with a pleasant seating outside. The staff was attentive and served our order swiftly. The cannolli were quite big, but at the same time fresh and tasty. The Aperol spritz and the coffee were equally good. Overall, our experience was very positive.

Ci siamo fermati per un caffè post pranzo ma in realtà poi non abbiamo resistito alla proposta di gelati che offriva e abbiamo fatto bene anzi benissimo !!! Ottima qualità!!!! Personale cordialissimo... assolutamente da andare....sono certa che anche la pausa pranzo sarebbe stata eccezionale!!!
