Caffe Al Bacio In Roma

04/02/2026: My husband was busy with a work dinner so I took myself to Foodoo for a solo dinner. The staff are friendly and were happy to accommodate just one ☺️ I had a virgin Hugo, the roasted pumpkin, and the Amatriciana. The pumpkin was lovely, paired with feta. The star of the show was the Amatriciana - when I say if I could spend all winter hibernating in this sauce, I absolutely would. It was so fresh, and well balanced, and savory - but met by the hint of sweetness in the tomato, and brought down to earth by the reggiano. Such a beautiful, memorable, and phenomenal bowl of pasta. Definitely recommend! They do take card payments, as a logistical note.

04/12/2025: Yesterday I had dinner at the Bistrot. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the ordering was flexible (I prefer to eat the main course before the pasta). The only flaw was the sound: there was both perfect background music and a novice musician playing at the same time. The situation was quite bizarre, and there was no explanation about the rehearsals in the room. These rehearsals didn't culminate in a performance; in fact, after about twenty minutes, they cut the background music, leaving only the guitar strumming.
