Cafe Wandelhalle In Merano

We visited Café Wandelhalle in Merano and were absolutely delighted. The café is beautifully situated right on the banks of the Passer River and offers a breathtaking view of the river and the surrounding landscape. The location is simply perfect – quiet, charming, and right in the heart of Merano. The ambiance is very nostalgic and reminiscent of the classic spa town atmosphere of bygone eras. You immediately feel at ease and transported to another time. Sitting outside is particularly lovely, allowing you to relax and watch the activity along the promenade. The service was friendly, attentive, and warm. The drinks and cakes were delicious and beautifully presented. It's an ideal spot for a break during a stroll through Merano or for a leisurely afternoon coffee. A truly traditional café with style, charm, and a fantastic location – we'll definitely be back!

This café is something truly special and holds a particular charm for my wife and me. It's small but exquisite, and away from the hustle and bustle. The service is consistently very friendly and helpful, always attentive to the customer's comfort and well-being. The light meals are delicious and perfect for a quick bite, satisfying a craving without having to forgo a proper dinner. It's wonderful that this café exists and manages to stand out from the competition. We will definitely return whenever we are in Merano.

Practically entirely outdoors, overlooking the Passirio River, stopping here is like stepping back in time to Merano's elegant past. They serve breakfast, aperitifs, and even delicious traditional dishes. The service is efficient, but given the beauty of the location, waiting isn't a problem here.

The direct location on the water makes the stay very relaxing.

If you're feeling a little hungry or thirsty, this is the perfect place to sit by the Passer River. Restrooms are accessible by key in the rear building.

We were repeat customers because we really enjoyed it there. The food was delicious, the portions huge. It was all beautifully situated in the shade by the water. And the service was always very friendly. Great! Keep it up!
