I had the pleasure of dining at Monet restaurant in Bordighera, and the experience was simply exceptional. The setting is elegant yet welcoming, the service attentive and never intrusive, but what really makes the difference is the quality of the cuisine.
Special praise goes to Chef Andrea, who demonstrates great creativity and remarkable technical mastery. The dish that truly won me over was the carne battuta alla carbonara: an original idea and perfectly executed. The freshness of the meat, combined with the intense and well-balanced flavors of the carbonara, creates a surprising and irresistible combination. A dish that alone is worth the visit.
Each course is meticulously crafted, both in flavor and presentation, a testament to a true passion for cooking.
I highly recommend Monet restaurant to anyone looking for a high-end dining experience in Bordighera. I will definitely be back!

My review is limited to the dish I ordered, the sea bass stuffed with zucchini. I liked the texture and flavor of the sea bass, but I left the zucchini alone because I didn't like the taste. The place is nice, with the option to sit outside. The prices are average, and the portions aren't large, but they were just right for me.

A pleasant business lunch. I was greeted with a smile. They were very professional, yet at the same time, the family-run atmosphere adds that extra touch that's always appreciated by those like me who are constantly traveling for work every day. The food was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, a feast for the palate and the eyes.

A last-minute dinner with friends, many restaurants full, Monet had room.
I'd read in previous reviews that the portions were small, but it wasn't a problem since we're not big eaters.
Well, I have to say that the portions weren't small at all, which was a shame. Yes, because unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't great: the Ligurian-style rabbit was embarrassing, the pasta was overcooked and soulless.
The service was neither excellent nor infamous, probably just starting out.
The potential is there, and perhaps it was an "unlucky" evening... let's hope so 😊

Where you'd normally find the same old-fashioned sandwich bar opposite a train station, you'll find this gem of a bistro offering family-style service and succulent dishes. Anyone passing through Bordighera can't miss this place!
