Cafe' Central In Assisi

Magnificent location. Attentive service.

The prices are high but the location justifies it.

Great coffee, but disappointing to be charged for tap water.

I read the reviews and don’t know why people left 3 star review. We came here and the service was great! Had gelato and coffee here.

Only had a drink, was how it should be, delicious. 2 brothers are very friendly but waitress terribly unfriendly, doesn't say a word. Terrible person.

There is nothing better than a family-owned and run café in the heart of a beautiful town. Café Centrale is literally next to the fountain in the central square of Assisi. What makes it outstanding is the consistency of the food and service. I've tried other places for coffee and have had hit or miss experiences—sometimes lukewarm; sometimes too hot. My coffee—whether traditional espresso or a latte—is always perfect and the correct temperature. The Margherita pizza is freshly made rather than reheated—and delicious every time. The waiters are friendly and warm and manage the crowd with kindness. If it gets super busy, it's easy to step up to the counter to order a second glass of Prosecco or pay the bill. Outdoor seating is covered in case of rain or heat, and the waiters will not hurry you to leave if you want to linger. I've enjoyed my weeks in Assisi, and Café Centrale has played a big part in my experience of this wonderful medieval town. Posto pulitissimo , staff gentile e alla mano , tutto molto buono non solo per le colazioni e aperitivi ma perfetto sia per pranzo cena
