Fixed appointment in Rome. Must try. Great environment and great cocktails!

A gem a stone's throw from the Colosseum and the Cavour metro station. A unique place with a nice atmosphere and attentive and courteous service.

We arrive at the opening of the restaurant and wait. They open about 5 minutes late but we are forced to wait as they still had to set up the interior of the place and they kindly let us sit and wait inside as it had started to rain. As tourists, we didn't know that, given the few tables available, it was best to book. Nonetheless, after several minutes of waiting we sat down at the counter. We ask for two menus to decide what to order and, given that after several minutes it still hadn't been brought to us, after several requests from the counter to show it to us, the menu was finally brought to us, but the beers and their respective prices were not present. So we order and only when we had almost finished consuming our drinks, they asked us if we wanted some chips together... We gladly accepted and they brought us some banal chips in a bag. We must have been unlucky as the others had been brought taralli, as well as chips. No excuses for slow orders. The surprise comes at the time of the bill where I discover that I have paid a good €8 for a bottled IPA.... Detail of course but it is a beer that costs €3.6 in the supermarket... excessive price. Pretentious place. Service and organization to be reviewed. It's a shame because the setting is very nice and has potential. Friendly staff

The place is nice, a little dusty, very low light, vintage armchairs, lots and lots of books and curious objects. I wanted to introduce some historical friends. We are linked by culture and the Rione Monti was the right middle ground between our neighborhoods. The service was tragic. The waitress was distracted and unprepared, the next morning talking to my guests we laughed a lot about the fact that no one understood her product descriptions. We were not allowed to reorder because the place had to close, legitimate even if they indicated different times. Going back to the room on purpose to tell only us made us uncomfortable again. It must have been karma.

When in Rome - don't miss Monti, when in Monti - don't miss Libreria. Place perfect for aperitivo, opens after 5pm, but for late night drink as well. Filled with books that make special atosphere of this place, but not only that - you can buy them here, this place actually is a "libreria", a special one - with very good choice of coctailes and wines. Everything here is arranged so that you can enjoy. So do that!

Great cocktail bar. Busy spot but Hugo cocktails were great.
