Gianni Benedetti's "Cacio e Pepe" has consistently proven itself over the years as the true go-to restaurant in Prati and Rome in general for Roman cuisine.
Excellent quality, excellent service, and absolutely fair prices.
I recommend it wholeheartedly 😉

5 stars for the restaurant, service, environment, location and the total experience. Its a place to visit either local or tourist. Not the tourist attraction you will find several blocks away,and that's what made it special for us. You can easily blend in in the Italian culture, taste the food and drinks locals enjoy without the fuss and waiter calling you to sit. We happened to be present uppon a birthday party and that was certainly an experience. Everything we tried was tasty with a wide variety of plates and drinks. We will surely visit you again, grazie!!

Very nice shop in the Prati area. You see mostly locals, so you know you'll eat deliciously. The cacio e pepe is very good! The Italian carbonara is delicious, but to some (especially children) the meat it contains may seem salty and tough.

Great restaurant for those seeking the authentic Roma cuisine. Their specialties include carbonara, cacio e pepe and amatriciana. Everything was delicious. The tiramisú is a fantastic way to top the dinner.
Service was fast, staff was kind.

The carbonara was fairly average and reasonably priced. On the other hand, the appetizers were surprisingly expensive, even more expensive than the main courses. The prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella were of poor quality, while the meatballs in tomato sauce were better.
The table experience was uncomfortable: they made us sit on a slanted table, with a flimsy placemat that kept flying off; it would have been easy to secure it with clips. The worst part is the lack of transparency: there's no paper menu at the table, and you have to stand up to read the prices, making ordering a bit "blind."

Cena veloce post concerto.
Piatti senza infamia e senza lode (una specie di Gateau di Patate ed una porzione di tonnarelli alla gricia poco amalgamati).
Prezzi un po' alti per essere una trattoria.
Servizio impeccabile.
La pecca più grossa: solita insopportabile modalità del pre-conto non convertito in scontrino fiscale.

Locale molto affollato e frequentato da locali e turisti di passaggio. Menù vario e ben assortito,il personale è molto cortese e il servizio abbastanza rapido. Le porzioni sono abbondanti.
