Cacio e Pepe In Roma

Locale molto piccolo ma ben attrezzato con veranda mobile in plastica. Personale molto veloce e cortese. Economico, abbiamo preso primi piatti tra cui amatriciana, carbonara, gricia, tutti molto buoni e saporiti, ed una porzione di pollo, e porzioni di patate al forno. Birre, vino, acqua, coca. Tutto buono.

This is probably the most unassuming little corner bistro/ristorante you can find in Rome. You eat on an exterior terrasse only, on plastic chairs and classic wobbly tables. You ask for table wine, which is fine. This is not a fancy place by any means and yet, the food is simply lovely, served generously and rapidly. The service is not only amazing, it is done with lots of passion and effort (contrary to 90% of restaurants in Rome). Everyone we encountered there were very nice and eager to help, even for French/Canadian tourists. We went twice so we could experience more of the menu. Will most probably make another visit on my next Rome visit. Tasted: Cacio e Pepe, Carbonara, gricia, brocoli side, potatoes side, a bunch of deserts.

Food was ok, but the service was borderline rude. They kept asking if we'll be ordering wine maybe 5 times, even after we clearly said we don't want it.

Service was great and food came out quick. I did feel like the cacio e pepe was a bit disappointing. There was a lot of cheese on the bottom of the plate that hadn’t really been mixed in with the pasta, or maybe the sauce had broken. Dessert was lovely.

Very good everything! Amatriciana, gricia, cacio e pepe and delicious chicory! Very kind staff, excellent place for money, simple Roman trattoria but with good taste!

Cacio e Pepe exclusively offers outdoor seating. Indoors is very tiny place with the cash desk, kitchen and toilets. As for the food, I tried their pasta, which was average, but still tasty. The prices are fair. Unfortunately, the waiters seemed rushed and the pasta was undercooked for my taste.

A certainty in Rome: the goodness of the dishes, the family atmosphere, perfect with friends, both for lunch and dinner.

Situada en Trastevere, por calidad le daría los 5 puntos pero... Si haces una reserva y te apuntan incluso en un libro de reservas.... Y cuando llegas a las ocho en punto, hora de la reserva además de hora Punta para cenar y te dicen que te pongas a la cola, mosquea y bastante. Sí no vas a guardar esa mesa mejor dilo y ya veo lo que hago pero no me hagas reservar y ponerme a la cola después, y más con la cantidad de gente que había. No obstante al insistir en que habíamos hecho reserva nos acoplaron pronto, pero el cabreo ya lo había cogido 🥵 Los platos estaban bastante buenos y el personal fue rápido y amable, la única pega es lo ya comentado.
