Cacciucco Blues In Capoliveri

A very charming little restaurant. Run by a single gentleman who cooks, serves the tables, and does it all himself. That's why it takes a bit longer than in other places. I highly recommend it, especially for those without children. Great food and a cozy atmosphere (if you have time ;-)). Authentic and wonderful!

Francesco is a magician. Working solo in his tiny kitchen he serves the most creative Seafood dishes in Capoliveri and probably on the whole Island. Excellent quality, cozy atmosphere, good music, fun host. 10/10 and a top 3 Spot on Elba.

A charming little restaurant run by one person, so it can take a little longer to be served. Otherwise, the restaurant has a small menu displayed on a chalkboard. The dishes we had were simply delicious! Highly recommended. The octopus in a slightly spicy tomato soup was cooked to perfection – a wonderful comfort food. The mackerel with chickpeas was also divine. In short: be patient and treat your taste buds!

The host was incredible, and we truly felt the authenticity of the place. I don't often eat fish, but here I let myself be carried away and did very well. The bruschetta with anchovies was perfect, my ginger prawns were out of this world, and the octopus alla nonna del cille was incredible. The restaurant has something magical, and the limited seating makes everything very intimate. The host's energy, with his background music, was irresistible, as was the shot of tequila we shared with him, which was wonderful. My only complaint, quoting what's written on the menu: "easy place," so take your time and enjoy your dinner, as he's the one in charge of the dining room and kitchen. I'd recommend at least a little help with the service.

A truly fantastic evening. Francesco is an excellent chef and the staff are exceptionally hospitable. He prepares mostly seafood and traditional dishes and runs this small restaurant alone, with a calm and serene atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of Capoliveri's main streets. He's truly carved out a tasteful, very informal setting for himself in a charming alleyway. You'll eat well, listen to great music, and be sure to feel at home. Highly recommended! Thanks Francesco!

A wonderful experience. The restaurant is very quaint and immediately conveys a sense of intimacy. The dishes, rich in fresh ingredients and the personal research of Francesco, an excellent chef and waiter—a true old-fashioned host—were fantastic! All accompanied by this truly captivating R&B soundtrack. Francesco is not only a great host but also a true musician, with whom it was truly a pleasure to chat about beautiful music! Recommended for those who want to eat well but also find something different and original.

Unexpected!!! An experience that will remain in our memories. FRANCESCO, the owner, welcomes you, takes orders, cooks, waits at tables, clears them, and manages the cash register. Five stars aren't enough. A tiny place nestled in the streets of Capoliveri. From the outside, you can see 5 or 6 tables set up just outside the entrance, music playing, and a chalkboard with the menu. And you might say, nothing special... yes, but as soon as Francesco sat us down, one of the best dinners began!! We came here because it's one of the most popular places for Caciucco. Well, we can confirm it. We started dinner with an appetizer of marinated anchovies with burrata and pesto. A dish that, as simple as it may seem, left us wanting more (we didn't, only to avoid ruining the main course), and rightly so. Between a glass of prosecco and a chat, Francesco arrives with these two bowls full of fish. Here's the caciucco. I admit I was bursting at the seams at one point, but there wasn't even a spoonful left. The fish was delicious, the sauce was delicious. It was a wonderful experience. Reserve and ask for Caciucco availability!!!

We weren't familiar with the restaurant. We made a reservation on-site an hour before opening because we liked the atmosphere so much. There are only a few tables. We weren't disappointed, quite the opposite. Delicious. The chef runs the place on his own—hats off. Great music. Friendly chef. You might not want to come completely starving, though, as this is more of a restaurant for enjoyment. We'd love to go back!

A special place, with a unique chef/waiter/manager, in the sense that he does everything himself and is unique in his friendliness and the deliciousness of his dishes! Besides the famous caciucco, the marinated anchovies with burrata and pesto are a heavenly experience. The place is also beautiful. Thank you so much.
