The best minestrone I've ever had in a restaurant. The mandelli, tripe, and tomaxelle pasta are also excellent. The place is welcoming. The waiter, the owner's son and the chef, is professional and friendly. The price seemed reasonable for the quality, perhaps even a little less. We'll be back. Thank you!!!

The ingredients are of the highest quality, the traditional dishes are perfectly cooked, and everything is delicious, from appetizers to desserts, with unsurpassed pesto mandilli. It's definitely worth the detour for a pleasant stop. This is a small restaurant, so reservations are almost mandatory.

2025:
A great evening with a Piacenza producer. The young winemaker presented his three new wines, and the legendary Fabio paired them perfectly with his dishes. I began with a trio of Piacenza cured meats with a glass of young Malvasia di Candia. Then came the award-winning Minestrone alla Ligure, winner at the recent Slow Food festival, with the same Malvasia aged a year. Next came an onion tart with Reggiano fondue paired with a still Barbera, and a fantastic goat with beans with a glass of Cabernet.
The goat was so good I forgot to photograph it. To finish, a fabulous amaretti tart.
What can I say? Fabio in the kitchen and Andrea managing the place were, as always, unsurpassed. The young winemaker Samuele Paraboschi nailed three excellent wines.
A late-September weekend couldn't have ended anywhere else but at a table at Caccia Ca Bugge. I was able to enjoy the autumn menu. The ravioli alla genovese were always delicious, and the mushroom and potato main course was a refined dish. The aroma and flavor of the porcini mushrooms paired beautifully with the potatoes, garlic, and parsley. Andrea outdid himself as a sommelier. A pure Grignolino with the ravioli and a Nebbiolo di pedigree with the mushrooms. A fantastic dinner, as always.
A traditional stop. For the first time in twenty years, I couldn't eat the ravioli alla ligure. I recovered from the shock and consoled myself with some wonderful agnolotti with roast sauce, a tartare with toma cheese, and Krumiri di "Mosto" with custard. Thank you, Fabio, and all the staff for being there.
2024: This year, I managed to stop in Campo Ligure twice, and both visits ended at my favorite restaurant. Superlative, as always. A plus offered by this little spot nestled in the Ligurian mountains, not far from the A26 motorway, is Fabio's mastery, not only as a chef but also as a sommelier. The Dolcetto paired with ravioli and rabbit was superb. The visit was further enhanced by the opportunity to visit the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The village itself is also very picturesque, with an exceptional climate.
As is now tradition, we stopped in Campo Ligure on our way back from vacation in Liguria, and as always, we stopped at Caccia C'a Bugge. What can I say? Fabio outdid himself once again. The Mandilli pasta with pesto and Ligurian-style ravioli were exquisite, not to mention the stuffed rabbit and the Fassona roast beef. Everything was delicious, made even better by a Verdicchio Superiore recommended by his son, the restaurant manager. Over the years, the restaurant has added a summer terrace and staff in the kitchen and dining room, a testament to the growing customer loyalty to this standard-bearer of Ligurian cuisine and fine wine. The years pass but the story of our love for Fabio's cuisine, which began way back in 1992, continues unabated as we await next year.
