Siamo stati a pranzo sabato con la famiglia in occasione del mio compleanno . Abbiamo fatto il giro in paese che definirei "pinacoteca a ciel aperto" . Bellissimo!! Abbiamo pranzato al ristorante Ca ' di Ratt che si trova in centro e sul muro acconto si trova la riproduzione del famoso quadro il "Bacio" di Francesco Hayez. Appena si entra l'atmosfera è fantastica. Locale molto bello e caratteristico con atmosfera rilassante grazie anche alle musiche in sottofondo e alla serenità e gentilezza dei proprietari. Il ragazzo che ci ha serviti al tavolo molto cordiale, ci ha spiegato bene tutti i piatti scelti. Ottimi e presentati bene! Prima di congedarci ci hanno offerto amaro/grappa. Gesto molto apprezzato da tutti noi in quanto inaspettato. Consigliato. Raffaela

They gave us a voucher for the risotto evening which takes place on Thursdays by reservation only, you have to book on WhatsApp and they answer you immediately, good service, good food, various risottos in the right quantities, we had a good time, good desserts too

If, like us, you spend a few days in Vigevano, make a short detour to Gravellona Lomellina (7km). If this small village is an open-air picture gallery, it also has a charming restaurant that is definitely worth the detour. Hidden at the end of a small dead end street, it piques your curiosity with its discreet entrance, giving access to a wooden arbor from another time.
Your journey begins!
You push open a second door whose rusticity leaves you doubtful and that’s the shock. An old mill transformed into a restaurant. The simplicity of the furniture, the shyness of the light and the outdated decor immediately make you forget the current world, left just a stone's throw away, 3 minutes earlier.
The warm welcome from the waiter (manager?) and the intimacy of the place are already an appetizer in themselves.
The waiter spontaneously presented and explained each line of the menu to us, but also recommended the accompanying wine (a little in Italian, a little in English and even a little in French). To keep us waiting, he “freely” served us a delicious blue cheese. There were 3 of us and we each ordered a different dish. Dishes so appetizing that our forks crossed and then crossed again to test each other’s plates:
- Cinghiale in Dolceforte 😋
- Maiale al Rum and Albicocche 😋
- Pappardelle al ragù 😋
And for dessert:
- Crostatina alla Crema e Salsa ai Frutti di Bosco 😋
Everything was tasty and plentiful 🤩
We wanted to finish our meal with a coffee ☕️. The waiter, always with a smile and friendly manner, offered us two digestives, each as delicate as the other.
Before paying our bill, he came back to our table to offer us pieces of chocolate “un délice” (normal, he was French 😂)
A treat from start to finish. And a culinary journey, but also a human one. We are not ready to forget this suspended moment, outside of time.
A very big thank you to the waiter who, in addition to his professionalism and patience, brightened our meal with his gentleness, his smile and his kindness.
Ca´di Ratt, a restaurant that we recommend with our eyes closed 😉👍
