Amazing food, incredible service, magnificent view

Stunning place, with a magical view of the sea. Fresh food, well prepared and presented. Friendly and pleasant staff. Portions are not abundant (but more than enough) and prices are normal. Definitely worth a visit!

An extraordinary place in the midst of olive trees, banana trees and climbing kiwi plants, with the fifteenth-century rustic house where the kitchen is. You sit on the veranda or under the portico near the fish tank and you are served with the utmost kindness. And that view of the Tigullio, at night, dotted with a thousand lights always enchants, as happened to Erza Pound who had her own special table.

Excellent food on fire meat/fish, there is a choice of fresh pasta. The service is very pleasant, you feel like a welcome guest. We were with children, and without any problems they prepared a dish for my little one at my request, which was not on the menu. Thanks for a great evening! Probabilmente la location gli permette di lavorare senza sforzarsi troppo. Nessuno sforzo per fare piatti di qualità. I ravioli di pesce senza gusto salvati solo dal sugo peraltro con pomodorini e qualche cozza, il pesce alla griglia, congelato, calamari piuttosto duri e gamberoni ancora con il filetto. Certo la location molto panoramica, ma il prosecco nei bicchieri da osteria.... peccato

Our experience at Trattoria Ca' del Frate during Christmas Day lunch was an immersion in taste and beauty that will remain etched in our memories. We felt like we were reliving the pomp of Trimalchio's banquet. Excellent homemade pasta, prepared with care and skill by the restaurant's kitchen. The creaminess of the walnut sauce or fresh pesto combined perfectly with the delicacy of the pasta, creating a combination of flavors that left us speechless. Grilled fish and meat at will. Every bite was an explosion of fresh and genuine flavours. The courteous and attentive staff (not a given in Liguria) made our lunch even more pleasant. The breathtaking view of Portofino completed the experience in an unforgettable way. Unbeatable quality/price ratio. We highly recommend stopping here to anyone who wants to savor the true flavors of Ligurian cuisine, all in a welcoming and evocative environment.
