I've been curious to try it for a few months, and I can say we were impressed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, ready to answer any questions. The meat selection was very wide and delicious. The first courses were exceptional, as were the side dishes. The starter was also excellent. The restaurant is small and intimate, so I recommend booking if you don't want to be left stranded. We'll definitely be back.

The best thing about this restaurant seems to be very friendly crew. Clearly “chef” or whomever runs this kitchen lacks taste and imagination. The only plate that was truly worth it’s price was steak. It wasn’t perfect but still very good, anyways it is hard to ruin such an expensive meet if you don’t overcook it. Menu was simply funny, each plate was either missing spices and taste or had way to much of it like combining gentle tartar with extra spicy mustard. Meatballs were burnt, dry and one of the worst I ever tried. Desserts max mediocre. Maybe I will come back one day if they will still have donkey tataki in the menu.

First time for me, the Butcher menu: everything was excellent, from the restaurant itself, the service, the wait times, the quality of the food. I will definitely recommend it and return.

Bar Trattoria Al Galo

08/03/2026: Historic trattoria in the eastern province of Verona. The menu is not only traditional but truly high quality. Florentine steak at reasonable prices and a respectable wine list for even the most discerning palate. The service is expertly informal without ever falling into banality.
