Every time I go to Trieste I go to eat in this delicious family-run restaurant. Excellent! Definitely try the strudel cooked in water!

La vera essenza della tradizione culinaria di Trieste. Locale molto bello e storico con un bel bancone in cui il sapiente proprietario prepara, organizza, vigila ed accoglie i suoi numerosi clienti. Tutti trattati a regola d’arte. Cibo eccellente. Abbiamo assaggiato il tradizionale prosciutto cotto, tagliato al coltello, degli gnocchi di patate e gulasch fantastici e le patate in tecia della tradizione.
Atmosfera bellissima.

Typical Trieste buffet style restaurant. Good quality food but above average prices, taking into account that the dishes are not that elaborate and the service is not too attentive.

Pleasant environment, small but sincere.
Old tavern approach to service with the innkeeper who plays with the customer in a direct and frank way.
Some of the best food you can ever eat.
If there is a place worth stopping for a meal in Trieste, it is definitely this!

Historic restaurant with few seats available. Essential traditional cuisine based on soups and meats. Cod not excellent. The Jota soup and the bread dumplings with gluasch are good. Boiled with two types of frankfurters (the clear one is good, the smoked one is good, plus the smoked one. Then three cuts of pork, with sauerkraut and potatoes. Excellent sweet kaisersmarren and raspberry.

An unforgettable culinary experience at Vecio Buffet Marascutti! I tried the sandwich with boiled meat, the ham in the crust and the homemade meatballs and each dish was an explosion of flavours! The quality of the ingredients is evident and the taste of each dish is simply divine. But what really makes this place special is the owner: an incredible person who dedicates himself with passion and commitment to promoting local products, making every customer feel at home. Furthermore, the wine selection is excellent and paired well with each dish. An experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Trieste cuisine and impeccable hospitality. I will definitely come back.

Locale piccolo, servizio attento, veloce ed essenziale. Abbiamo gustato gnocchi al gulasch, porzina con crauti, strudel in straza ma la scelta è stata difficile tra tante portate invitanti. Vivamente consigliato

Typical Trieste buffet, typical and delicious dishes are served, we enjoyed some respectable potato gnocchi with goulash; informal but good service, warm and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for a simple, restorative and fairly quick lunch... Recommended!
