Anyone who wants to eat Trieste-style must take a tour. The cuisine is typical, and not the lightest. The dishes are tasty, the second courses are particularly generous. I felt good.

All very good, we tried the mixed boiled meat which we finished digesting the next day, but in the end it was worth it

I went to dinner with some friends, we ordered some very good and plentiful typical dishes! The owners were kind and nice. The atmosphere is informal and convivial, so much so that we also socialized with the other customers. Super recommended place.

Ultima sera a Trieste, abbiamo cenato in questo locale che non conoscevo... Che piacevole sorpresa... Ambiente rustico ma accogliente, titolare simpatico e preparato, buon servizio al tavolo. Piatti semplici ma gustosi della cucina triestina, come gli gnocchi di pane 🍞 con gulasch o gnocchi di patate con gulasch, il tutto fatto in casa... Ottima la birra bionda ad accompagnare il tutto... si chiude in bellezza coi dolci: Kaiserschmarren o dolce dell'imperatore o lo strudel di noci con cannella... In questi casi non manca un amaro: amaro del Carso, medaglia d'oro 🏅.... Locale storico adatto a tutte le fasce d'età, famiglie comprese. Prezzi contenuti e non esagerati. Se si è a Trieste in vacanza o solo di passaggio, questo locale è una tappa importante... Complimenti...

A place that offers an excellent selection of traditional Trieste cuisine, the quality of the ingredients is significantly better than other tourist buffets in the centre. Waiting times may be a little longer, but they are due to the craftsmanship of the preparation and the flavor of the dishes still repays the wait.

Everything perfect. Compliments both for the traditional food and for the innkeeper, who is truly very hospitable and capable. We'll be back.

We chose this place because the reviews were good. In fact, the dishes we ordered and ate were excellent. (merged with Istrian chicken, Giulianska and Wiener Schnitzel) The honest price, around 25 euros each. The only flaw, unfortunately, is the service: it was terrible, very hasty and rude. The plates were almost thrown. The place was full, but because there are 10 tables, so booking is recommended. I don't know if we will return. There is always room for improvement.

Era qualche anno che avevo adocchiato online questo posto ma per un motivo o l'altro non ci ero ancora stata. Finalmente ho esauditi questa mia curiosità e ne sono stata contenta....ambiente carinissimo, caldo e caratteristico con un soffitto a volta in mattoni e arredamento in legno, bagno da rivedere. I prezzi forse leggermente alti secondo me però trieste è sempre più cara di Ltre località in regione. Il mio piatto del cuore....gnocchi di pane con ragù...erano veramente ottimi...mi sono solo dispiaciuta la porzione fosse sa 2..ne avrei mangiati 6 😀..ma in ogni caso sono grandi e consistente. L'altro piatto ordinato era l'arrosto ed era favolosamente morbido...si scioglieva in bocca quindi cibo super promosso.
