Bucavino In Roma

The owner Massino went out if his way to make our dinner special. Suggesting dinner, wine desserts then preparing each tableside and then offering final libations and gifts. Highlight of our two week stay in Rome. Thank you so much Massimo .

A truly wonderful discovery. There were nine of us and everything was perfect. The food was delicious (their homemade bread was phenomenal), the service was quick and impeccable, not to mention the courtesy and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back before Easter. Thanks again for everything, and see you soon.

Great place, excellent food. I had a terrific tagliata with truffle, with a wine recommended by the waiter that paired perfectly with the meat. The staff was very polite and kind, and above all, they cater to the customer's needs. It's definitely a Roman osteria where I'll be returning.

DELICIOUS!! We stumbled upon this gem while staying at the Hoxton because it was so close to the hotel, and boy are we glad we did! I’m sure the guy knew we were American immediately because we walked in right at opening time for dinner lol. He didn’t let it show though! He greeted us in Italian and treated us like we were old friends! He offered bread before we ordered which he said was homemade, and omg it was fantastic! It was so fresh tasting. Next we got the Supplì which was equally as amazing and perfectly lightly fried. The wine was great and the main courses were delicious. I got the saltimbocca which was so good, and perfectly cooked. Super flavorful and such a generous portion. My husband got a dish that our waiter recommended and he was so pleased too! Our only regret is that we didn’t save room for dessert, and that we couldn’t come back more times!!

What a wonderful surprise Bucavino is one of those places that makes you fall in love with Rome even more. Authentic Roman cuisine with attention to detail, truly delicious dishes (the carbonara and tiramisu deserve a standing ovation—I've never tried anything like it), the selection of local and national wines is carefully selected, and there are some rare gems. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the waiter Alessandro is very kind and cheerful. We had an unexpected, challenging request, but they handled it with unexpected simplicity. You can tell they have a passion for what they do. Fair prices for the highest quality. Well done guys, keep it up and never change. A place I'll gladly return to and one I recommend with my eyes closed.

The entree, a warm roll with salted butter, is not for everyone; you can see the attention to detail and the passion for what they do. Pacchero Bucavino is fantastic, a location like few others in Rome, very kind staff, highly recommended, see you soon 👏👌👍

I've toured more or less every restaurant in the area, invariably finding the following common characteristics: mediocre food, high prices, and poor service. Well, today I had a very good meal (excellent carbonara and a good glass of wine by the glass) in a more than pleasant (simple and elegant) establishment, reasonably priced (yes, they charge for the cover charge and bread, but at least they bring me a homemade loaf with salted butter) and with prompt and efficient service. This last aspect deserves a few more words, both for its often underestimated importance and because the guy at the tables is kind and smiling, a far cry from the long faces and rudeness prevalent elsewhere, where it feels like they're doing you a favor by serving you. Message to the managers: hold on to him.

A true discovery, Bucavino exceeded my expectations. Here, Roman tradition is celebrated with unparalleled quality. The Carbonara is sublime, the best I've ever had, as is the Amatriciana. The place is a gem, intimate and meticulously maintained. The staff welcomes and pampers you with a smile and a professionalism that makes all the difference, something that's not a given in Rome. The wine list is interesting. Prices are more than fair, especially for the quality offered. You have to try it. We'll be back soon!
