One of Lucca's oldest and most highly regarded restaurants. The "Osteria a S. Antonio" was mentioned in a document from 1782 and the current Buca di Sant'Antonio is listed in the Michelin Guide. The food is great (chef was amazing), service is top notch (but also friendly & fun), and atmosphere is old-world homey (especially if home is full of copper pots/pans, antiques, and brass instruments).

A truly refined culinary experience, showcasing true Tuscan quality: the cod and pumpkin tortellini are highly recommended...what more can I say? Even President Sergio Mattarella goes there, and he knows his stuff, too!

Excellent. Excellent rating. For everything. Fantastic food, the Florentine steak was spectacular. Attentive and friendly service. Characteristic atmosphere. Highly recommended. The poached egg with fondue and black truffle was also very good. Friendly, punctual, and patient waiters. Come here.

Not all restaurants advertise that they make their own pasta, in fact those with pedigree usually don’t. In the case of buca di santantonio they quietly make the finest “tordelli” al ragù that you can eat. The kind of dining experience one hopes for from a family run restaurant. Fully recommend.

The service is impeccable, with a touch of yesteryear, where the owner frequently visits the tables to ensure everything is perfect. The 1980s-style decor creates a unique and nostalgic atmosphere, and the generous portions make every dish truly satisfying. A special mention goes to the fried porcini mushrooms, simply delicious. An experience worth repeating!
