Just had a beautiful lunch here. The menu was interesting, with a few regional staples and other dishes we havent seen before. The decor is very kitsch (in a good way), and felt warm and welcoming. The food we ordered was fresh and delicious, and there was plenty of lovely bread to accompany the meal. The stand out at this restaurant is the service. The staff are attentive and observant without being intrusive. Our waitress was extremely lovely, happily conversing us in English, and sharing information about the dishes on offer. Such a pleasant stop for lunch during a day in Lucca.

During our recent trip to Lucca, we discovered this restaurant almost by chance—and it quickly became one of those places we know we will remember for a long time. We visited during the Christmas holidays, and from the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere made us feel instantly at ease. The combination of the festive interior, the gentle buzz of conversation, and the kindness of the staff created a feeling very much like being invited to a family holiday lunch. We ordered cod fish with boiled vegetables and a fresh vegetable salad, accompanied by excellent wine. Everything was beautifully prepared, simple and honest in the best sense. The desserts—pear cake and piatto forte lucchese, followed by coffee—were the perfect ending to an already wonderful meal. What stayed with us most, however, was the people. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, clearly enjoying working together, and that warmth naturally spread to the guests as well. It is a place where you feel welcome rather than served. This is without doubt one of the best restaurants we have visited. It is easy to see why locals in Lucca return here again and again for special moments. If you are looking for authentic local food, a homely atmosphere, and a place where time seems to slow down a little, this restaurant is truly special!

Really enjoyed this meal in Lucca, came as a party of six with two small children (4.5 and 1.5 yo) the staff were incredibly welcoming and made some great reccomendations on dishes (Hare Pasta and Bistecca were highlights) and wine. Overall everything was solid and would reccomend for folks looking for a refined family style meal in Lucca.

The food was delicious, specially the carpaccio was amazing!!!! The staff was friendly and the decoration of the place was very pleasing.

My partner and I come to this restaurant every year the week before Christmas. Unfortunately, this year our experience was truly disappointing. The table assigned to us was in a questionable location: right next to the bar, and the cold arrived every time the door opened. We didn't say anything because they offered us an alternative in the tavern: we can't go there, so never mind, they gave us a different option. However, having booked a month in advance, we would have preferred a different option. My partner ordered the goat: he was served two bones with a bit of meat stuck to them. His dessert was missing an ingredient (prunes), and the mascarpone cream was missing. The vegetables I ordered were completely tasteless. For two main courses, two side dishes, two desserts, two coffees, water, and a half bottle of wine, we spent €115. We appreciated the truly impeccable service from all the staff, including the two young men.
