Had lunch with an excellent first course. Very kind and fast staff. Highly recommended.

Buatta is a place I always enjoy returning to. It's located on the beautiful Via Crociferi and is run with passion by two young couples. The menu is unique, combining local products with exotic influences. Last time, there were three of us, and we ordered veal with tuna sauce, a cube roll with grilled leeks and purple cabbage wafers, and a peasant salad with pears, spinach, hazelnuts, and honey (excellent!). I also recommend the buatta, a constantly changing seasonal dish served in glass jars, the octopus taco, and the cod arancini. The atmosphere is welcoming and the quality/price ratio is excellent.

A very nice little restaurant. The seating is comfortable and away from the tourist crowd. Very friendly service, and the food was delicious. The price-performance ratio was absolutely fair.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time; I was rooting for them on the Catania episode of "Four Restaurants." The location is wonderful: Via Crociferi! The place draws you in from afar, with its beautiful lighting and table layout. They seated us inside, a small but well-organized room; there were six of us, three of whom were children. The menu was very inviting, with several unusual choices. The flavors were truly delicious; I tried the burger with chicken cutlet, which was truly delicious. My daughter enjoyed her pizza, and my friends had cunzatizzi, a type of bruschetta made with bread (a bit small but inviting and well-seasoned). My only disappointment was that it wasn't very Catania-style, except for a few first courses. I was expecting more of a revisited tradition; I was wrong, but I still ate well and had a lovely evening. Prices are a bit high, but that's understandable given the location and quality. Service was a bit slow, even though the place wasn't terribly busy. Not much choice for kids, but they were willing to simplify some dishes for them. Recommended!

An incredible discovery, even though I'd already been there for lunch several years ago and remember not being impressed enough to write a review. This time, however, it might have been the dinner experience or the truly friendly and welcoming staff, but I had a truly wonderful evening and enjoyed the food. At the staff's suggestion, I ordered one of their specialties, which made me reconsider this place: it's a kind of toasted bread, soft and crunchy at the same time, with the freshest ingredients (I chose the salmon one) and a variety of combinations. I recommend making a reservation if possible, as there aren't many seats, but you won't regret it. The desserts are also good, although I didn't have the pleasure of trying their famous beer cheesecake. Another excuse to come back!

I've been to this place three times: the first two just for a granita, while today I had the "full service," starting with breakfast and returning for lunch. I noticed it for the first time months ago, and what immediately caught my eye was the name. Intrigued, I approached, and the school-themed writing, done with chalk and colored chalk, turned out to be a fun and creative way to attract attention. The T-shirts with humorous phrases are also very nice, lightheartedly describing the situations and thoughts of those who work in front of the public, where patience is tested by the sometimes rude requests of customers. The staff today proved helpful and attentive to everyone's needs. Special praise goes to the two young men who welcomed and served me: Roberto and Brandon (if I'm not mistaken with their names), always friendly, kind, attentive, and never intrusive. A place I'll gladly return to many more times, even if I'm not from the area.

Nice, cozy place. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff! The staff at the adjacent restaurant could learn something from them! The food was really delicious, beautifully presented. Friendly prices.

Wij kwamen al wandelend toevallig bij Buatta terecht. Het zag er leuk uit en we kregen een tafeltje buiten in het rustige, gezellige straatje. Er was een vriendelijke achtergrondmuziek en een kalm geroezemoes van gasten. We kozen de pasta alla Norma en een vegetarische ‘cunzatizzo’, met een frisse salade erbij. De Norma was zeer goed bereid, met geroosterde stukjes aubergine, pasta al dente, verse kruiden en een volle, rijke tomatensaus. De cunzatizzo was nieuw voor ons: een bodem van een soort luchtig brooddeeg, met een grote hoeveelheid geroosterde groenten mooi gerangschikt erop: een aangename ontdekking! We dronken er mineraalwater bij. Als dessert namen we espresso en huisgemaakte tiramisu, die zacht en luchtig was, een echte dolce. We hebben in alle rust kunnen eten, de medewerkers waren attent, vriendelijk en duidelijk trots op hun restaurant, en de rekening was keurig gespecificeerd. Wij raden een diner bij Buatta van harte aan!
