We had the chef's tasting menu. I certainly expected more refinement from a Michelin-recommended restaurant (Bib Gourmand). The service was rushed and not very personal (probably because no one spoke good English).
The lighting in the restaurant was very bright, which made the atmosphere rather lacking. Palermo has many restaurants where you can dine well, and even better, for less money!
For us, it was a disappointing experience.

We went to Buatta for lunch today. A friendly welcome, a short wait for a table, and then we were ready to enjoy ourselves.
After a sfincione to start, we had the ravioli and the pasta alla Norma for our main courses. The excellent tiramisu rounded off our meal. All the dishes were delicious and generously sized. The dessert was also delicious, homemade, and left us with a satisfied smile.
Conclusion: Highly recommended.

Wow!!!! Very beautiful place, elegant and characteristic inside, with tables overlooking the main street. Welcoming, very friendly staff. That said...the dishes!! Welcoming with a small glass of Marsala and a slice of warm sfincione, delicious. Sardines alla beccafico, which we shared as an appetizer, were amazing. Baked anelletti (typical Sunday pasta dish in Palermo) were divine, with a sweet tomato meat sauce. Parmigiana was delicious and well-balanced in its seasoning. Red wine by the glass, generous, a perfect Nero d'Avola. Coffee accompanied by a portion of cassata, absolutely delicious!!! The price was fair for the quality of the dishes, the ambiance, and the service. I highly recommend it ❤️

This turned out to be a very casual restaurant. We hoped for a relaxed evening with authentic food. What we received was very brisk service as though they were keen to free the table for another group. The food was okay but unremarkable. The evening was spoilt by an extremely loud group of folk in their late twenties. They had clearly had many drinks before arrival followed by more shots and wine. They shrieked and shouted dominating the whole restaurant. The manager made no attempt to quieten them down. We left early. I am surprised this restaurant is a Michelin red bib. Of all such restaurants we have eaten in this was our most disappointing experience by far.

Honestly, I expected better, but it pays the price of being a restaurant owned by a large group rather than a single owner. It's not very personalized, despite their efforts to make it seem anything but. In the end, I paid almost 40 euros for a bucatini with sardines, no more than 80-90 grams of pasta, and an almond parfait. Honestly, Palermo can and should offer better; I'd say it's a nice place for tourists.

Location molto carina, sul centralissimo corso Vittorio Emanuele. Molto affollato, piuttosto rumoroso. Molta clientela internazionale. Servizio sommario e poco curato. Buona la pasta con le sarde e il tonno alla griglia, così come la caponata. Il vino bianco di Occhipinti definitivamente da non mettere neppure nella carta della più modesta osteria. Buono ma … no wow

Dopo dieci giorni in giro per la Sicilia finalmente un ristorante dai sapori autentici.
Prenotazione obbligatoria, bel locale, personale gentilissimo, una nota di merito a Giovanni che è riuscito a "scovare" le due ultime sarde a beccafico per mia moglie, la titolare simpaticissima e cortesissima... poi naturalmente cibi squisiti, dalla caponata, al ragusano all' argentiera, alla pasta con le sarde ed alle già citate sarde a beccafico... ottima la carta dei vini!!!
