We arrived at this place with a "Boscolo" gift box. We were welcomed very well. Very good food and attentive and helpful staff.

We came here for the taster menu which we were looking forward to having seen the recommendation on the Michelin website. The food was delicious however we did feel that it was tuna after tuna after tuna - 4 of the 5 dishes were tuna. The restuarant was incredibly hot - unbearable really which dampened the experience. Others were using napkins to fan themselves. When I told the waitress she said ‘It’s the weather in Sicily’ although it was cooler outside when we left…! There were also a lot of lights! Spotlights, main lights and lights on the table. Less lighting would have created a bit more of an atmosphere.

This restaurant is very well located at the heart of Palermo and it is not expensive. The ingredients are fresh and of good quality. I especially like the tuna fish, which cannot reach this consistency except it is of good quality. The two pastas are relatively mundane. The ring shape pasta is not bad, but the flavouring is not creative. The spaghetti’s taste is something new for me, but I find the taste of dill is too strong and lacks a balance. The spaghetti is a little bit too hard for Asian standard. The fried seafood dish is not bad, still it is not creative enough. The staff is friendly and helpful. The decoration is with taste and atmosphere is good, however, as a Michelen recommended restaurant, it might be a little disappointing because they are not creative enough.

The restaurant looks lovely but the menu is very limited. The food is average; we had much better for a much more reasonable price over the rest of our stay. The service was incredibly slow and it just wasn't worth the wait.

Location in the historic center. Very good menu. Service more than good.

Very good restaurant with revisited dishes of Sicilian cuisine. For us it is an obligatory stop for all our visits to Palermo!

The food is a solid touristic 7.5 but not that good if you move away from the main avenue and not cheap. The problem is the service, the waitress dropped a used knife on the table and she didn't pick it up until i told her and then got upset. When the soup came she put the starter plate on top of the cutlery and then another starter plate with the soup. In the table next to us she dropped a piece of bread on the water glass, she noticed It and left it inside until the person told her. No one asked us if we wanted desserts or coffee. On the other hand the waiter and the manager were very friendly and when i pointed out what had happened to the manager, she gave my daughter a complementary dessert and a coffee to me. Atmosphère agréable et personnel gentil mais prix trop élevés. On peut trouver aussi bien voire mieux à Palerme pour moins cher.

We had heard so much about Buatta, with it being on almost every list of where to eat in Palermo that we had to try it. The restaurant itself is very cute and has great energy but we found the menu very limiting with mostly seafood and offal - in case you're not into that. So do check the menu before going!
