After years in Denmark, the home of kanelsnegle, I can say that here I found the best cinnamon rolls I've ever tasted. Perfectly leavened dough, soft, and not too sweet. I was truly pleasantly surprised.

Excellent bakery with bread and other products that truly stand out from the mass-produced products found in large retailers and elsewhere. Just look at how, even if you freeze a piece, you won't find any white spots when you thaw it, and the flavor remains the same. They offer a variety of flours to suit all tastes. While the prices aren't exactly affordable enough to make this bread an everyday staple, I understand that quality comes at a cost. The friendliness and courtesy are always there.

Excellent bakery. We used to come here for years, then we moved. We returned today, and I have to say that the quality and service seemed to be declining a bit. I hope I'm wrong. It would be a shame. But you wouldn't expect a place with prices much higher than average to sell burnt focaccia. A horrible blunder. I hope it's a disaster.

05/10/2025: "Mangio Ergo Sum" isn't just a place to eat sushi. It's an experience, a discovery. Here, quality meets innovation, transforming a dish I thought I knew into something surprising and new. For me, eating out means this: being amazed, experiencing a moment that goes beyond a simple meal. I entrusted myself to Barbara, the owner: a passionate young woman with refined taste and a keen sense of beauty and goodness. In this little gem in the heart of Ancona, she manages to offer a perfect combination of gastronomic excellence, carefully selected wines, and dishes that exude authenticity and creativity. Even though I love sushi, I've always kept my distance from anything "too raw." Yet, this time I let Barbara guide me, savoring each course with pleasure and curiosity. It was a true revelation. And the wine? Impeccable. When I'm dealing with a competent person, I choose not to choose: I trust. And with Barbara, you can trust her. Thank you, truly.

Trattoria Osteria della Vedova

14/01/2026: Let's start with the dishes: the pasta is all handmade, from tagliatelle to gnocchi, and if you have a refined palate, you'll notice. The meat ragù is amazing, just like our mothers and grandmothers used to make (the Vergare of the 1950s and '60s). A time machine of flavors. The fried meat Marchigiana style with cutlets, the lamb, the cremini mushrooms, the Ascoli olives, the delicious and light zucchini flowers. Even the chicken al Potacchio is mouth-watering. But the curious thing is that the one who cooks to perfection at "La Vedova" is Svetlana, a formal and corpulent Russian woman, who remained that way after losing her Italian husband. Her mother-in-law taught her daughter-in-law how to cook Marchigiana cuisine. And she has passed the reins of the restaurant on. The service is naive and original. The atmosphere is that of the old Osterias of yesteryear. Don't expect luxury and modern furnishings. That's precisely the beauty of it. A restaurant with two small, separate rooms. There are two entrances. As soon as you walk in, it feels like you're at Frittole. There are just a few tables, a bit close together. But the important thing was the good food, which is what matters most:
06/01/2026: Reservations required. Always busy, and it's worth a visit even just for the tagliatelle with ragù. Exceptional. Everything about this old-fashioned osteria is delicious. Highly recommended.
