This place was by far our favorite meal in Siena. Incredibly welcoming and convivial service. It’s hard to explain but this place just has a genuine warmth about it: servers who are proud of their product, eager to answer questions, helpful with suggestions, and just overall salt-of-the-earth folks.
The food was also delicious. If they sold it by the quart, I would eat the tonno il Chianti (see photo) every day for the duration of my trip. The Cinghale Brasato was equal parts comforting and unlike anything I’ve had before. The gazpacho was refreshing and a welcome respite from the sweltering heat outside in the streets of Siena.
This place is doing something very, very right. Definitely well worth a walk up hill (they don’t tell you about all of the hills in Siena…).

This was the best restaurant we ate through our one week journey in Tuscany. Also, it’s one of the most delicious restaurants ever. My boyfriend had the canneloni with ricotta and ragu and I had steak with porcini. We also shared the parmigiana. Everything was perfectly cooked. And the deserts - the semifredo tastes like strawberry cloud. The oat cake with peaches was also heavenly. we happened to have dinner here the last night of our trip and it felt like a retreat. We found it by chance but loved everything. The people there were super kind as well.

An insider tip in Siena!!!!
We wanted to have dinner near our parking garage and found this lovely and beautiful bistro. This place is furnished and decorated with attention to detail. We reserved a table for dinner at lunchtime... Everything was very straightforward, and the chef and staff are warm and friendly.
The food was definitely the best we've had in Siena so far. All in all, a perfect evening 👍😊. Our children were also absolutely thrilled with the delicious and unusual dishes.
Keep up the good work!!! We'll definitely be back!!!

Wild boar and the beef cheeks were to die for!! Those pickled onions! Yummy 😋

Beautifully decorated, airy and intimate even indoors thanks to large open doors that let in a pleasant breeze. Tables are well spaced, creating a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Partiamo dagli aspetti positivi. L’ambiente è molto carino, in pieno centro a siena. Il personale disponibile e sorridente (anche se forse un po’ ‘acerbo’ visto alcune risposte che ci sono state date - sempre con gentilezza e sorriso). Il menù con pochi piatti, tutti preparabili velocemente, è abbastanza particolari. Di fatto per essere un Bistrot l’offerta è abbastanza buona. Passando a quello che ci ha lasciato delusi: i piatti che come detto sono abbastanza particolari, al momento di mangiarli risultano cucinati in maniera abbastanza dozzinale, si vede che sono fatti per essere serviti velocemente. Le quantità non abbondanti e le materie prime trattate non benissimo. sui maritozzi dell’antipasto, gli gnocchi ripieni del primo e il dolce sono quasi sicuro che fossero congelati e scongelati, ma non ho chiesto e quindi non posso confermarlo. Di fatto non erano niente di memorabile. Così come non è memorabile la lista dei vini al calice (visto le attuali leggi più di un bicchiere raramente riesci a farti) che comprendeva pochi tipi (mi sembra 3 ma vado a memori) per ogni tipologia. Comunque in generale direi che per essere un bistrot non abbiamo mangiato male e bevuto male. Certo non in linea con il prezzo. Un antipasto a testa una portata principale (chi in primo, chi un secondo) e solo alcuni dolci (più o meno uno ogni 2 persone) un calice di vino quasi 50 euro a testa. Secondo me con questi prezzi si trova molto di meglio in altre parti di Siena. Concludendo: esperienza carina, pagata troppo. Non penso che torneremo.
