This was between a 4 and a 5 for me. The location near a church built in the year 1000, and the very cool outside seating were a huge win. Food was excellent notwithstanding a lot of “non-meat” options. Wine selection was off the charts great. A bit expensive but it’s the best location in the city. Service was really great at first, but disappointed at the end when we had to ask for the check 3 times to get it to be able to leave! I get that they got busy but c’mon man, three times?! VictorB

This restaurant was very good. The menu had a good variety of options and in particular they were able to easily accommodate gluten-free guests. You would not be disappointed if you went to this restaurant. However I do recommend booking at least a day ahead. We were in shoulder season and still needed to make a book in 24 hours in advance

All the starters were delicious, the main course, the wine 10/10, the lasagna was the best.

During a weekend with friends, we chose this restaurant because they offered gluten-free options, as one of us is celiac. Every dish, from appetizers to first courses, even the bread, amazed us (the purple bread pictured, incredibly fragrant on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside, served warm with a tasting of olive oil as an entrée). Everything was truly excellent (even the gluten-free paccheri pictured were just as good as the regular ones). If I return to Montalcino, I will definitely stop at this restaurant again.

​We enjoyed a wonderful meal here during our drive around Tuscany. The pasta dishes were incredibly memorable, particularly the Con Guanciale E Cipolla Croccante. Pair it with a glass of Brunello red wine, and you have yourself a great Italian meal. The service wasn't the best and could be slow at times, but it was passable. I would love to try their main courses (secondi) on a return visit, especially if I had a larger appetite.

Wonderful restaurant and meal. Great location and they had a trio playing in the piazza the night we were there.

This was the best pasta I've ever had! The chewy texture of the noodles, the richness of the cheese, and the harmonious flavors were truly exquisite. I hadn't had pasta as delicious as I'd hoped in Italy, but I was blown away the moment I tasted it here! The staff were also friendly and wonderful.

Anna was wonderful and looked after us so well. Food and wine choice were excellent.

We returned for lunch in mid-August this year. Despite the heat, it was pleasant under the portico. The saffron pinci were exceptional. Recommended.
