Brasseur Hugo In Cosenza

Belgian atmosphere with some surprises I had the pleasure of visiting Brasseur Hugo in Cosenza, a Belgian-style pub that struck me with its welcoming atmosphere and furnishings with attention to detail. In particular, I appreciated the sitting area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a beer with friends. Starting from the culinary offer, I must admit that I would have expected a menu exclusively dedicated to Belgian cuisine, but instead I also found more common proposals such as pizzas and some local sandwiches. If on the one hand this broadens the choice, on the other it takes away some of the thematic coherence that I expected to find. Fast service, but could be improved... Before going I had read reviews that reported long waiting times, but I have to deny this impression. The service was quick and punctual, although I noticed a slight lack of coordination between the kitchen and the dining room. For example, the sandwiches arrived when we were still enjoying the french fries entrée. The raw materials are of good quality, but in my case the sandwich served was not at the right temperature, a detail that can make the difference. I would also suggest heating the bread slightly (without grilling it) to best bring out the flavours. The prices are honest, on average, and there is also the possibility of obtaining a discount by booking through a well-known application which allows you to take advantage of a discount on the final bill. Then, with a really broad menu, perhaps even too broad, this gives me a good reason to return and try other specialties. Furthermore, this Christmas period the place has promoted a nice prize initiative for customers - who knows, maybe I'll be able to win the trip to Belgium! Ultimately, a positive experience with some small aspects to improve, but certainly a place that I recommend trying, especially for lovers of Belgian beers and particular atmospheres.

Locale accogliente, personale molto disponibile e gentile. Abbiamo mangiato la pizza,impasto leggero e allo stesso tempo gustosa con ingredienti di qualità. Torneremo senz’altro.

Bellissimo locale , personale gentile e professionale. Ottimi sia i panini che i piatti speciali! Se ami la birra vai nel posto giusto, fornitissimi! Dopo cena ci siamo spostati ai divanetti per gustare un buon Rum. Bella serata consiglio Brasseur HUGO !!

Enchanting place, you totally enter another dimension. The staff is very kind and helpful, attentive to any customer request. The food is very good, you can feel that the products are homemade and are not frozen. We will definitely return.

Beautiful place, charming and pleasant decor, very kind and attentive staff. Excellent food and all home-produced, you can feel the attention paid to the quality of the products, we tried their croquettes, pizza and sandwiches, all really good especially the bun which was different from the usual and tasty. I recommend this place! :)

I'll start with the staff: the boy who served us was incredibly kind! Excellent food, all fresh even the Silane potatoes were not frozen but freshly cut and cooked. Excellent pizzas, dishes with meat and really good side dishes. The place is also well looked after down to the details, really nice. I recommend it!

Beautiful venue, evocative atmosphere that catapults you into Belgium from the first moment. Polite, attentive and friendly staff. Exquisite pizza and quality products! Average prices!
