Pizza was excellent. Service prompt and friendly. Beer was tasty. Park and surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. I would come back again if I get the chance.

A place with a lovely atmosphere and a fantastic park inside the fortress to enjoy on summer evenings.

If Fulèr is the reflective side of the Rocca, Brancaleone is the fun side. A cocktail bar, pizzeria, BBQ—a place that doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's exactly why it works. The pizza al pala is its recognized strong point: light dough, precise cooking, and a gourmet menu that never disappoints. The cocktails hold their own in much more prestigious establishments. On summer evenings, with wooden tables scattered throughout the park, it's hard to find a more pleasant spot in the city for an aperitivo that extends into dinner without anyone asking. The setting is the same as the Rocca—the fifteenth-century walls, the greenery, that unusual quiet for a place in the heart of the city center—but the atmosphere is more informal, suitable for a couple or a noisy table. Children come here, grandparents come here, rock bands come here after rehearsals. The place holds its own without seeming out of place. The right place when you don't want to make too many decisions: order a pizza, have a cocktail, stay out late.
