Not perfect... There was no working internet – not even in the central area. Occasionally, a weak signal was available for a few seconds, but even registration failed because the connection immediately dropped again. The complex is very extensive, but poorly signposted. There are hardly any signs off the main paths. A map is provided, but it's of little help if there are no landmarks on site. After almost 45 minutes, we found the pool – but there was a long line waiting for us. The pool was overcrowded, so we ultimately didn't go in. The reception sent us after a vehicle without comment – without any explanation as to where we were supposed to go or what to expect. At our destination, we stood there, perplexed. -In the shower, only - set - very warm water. Not directly responsible for the complex, but still annoying: The cicadas are extremely loud – up to 65 decibels in places, which becomes very unpleasant after a while.

It was a wonderful experience to vacation under the green sky, immersed in nature in a vast, immaculately maintained, and extremely clean campsite. A place you could live forever. Well done!

Nice and well-organized campsite, although a bit sprawling. Only 3 stars for the pool, which has terrible filtration, and my daughter's eardrum is perforated. I've reported the problem, and I hope they improve.

A campsite close to nature with many advantages and some peculiarities This campsite impresses with its well-thought-out organization and natural surroundings. The parking spaces arranged in a circle around the sanitary facilities offer a practical infrastructure. Daily cleaning ensures clean toilets and showers, with toilets available both with and without glasses. The short-term exposure to the shower water after 2-3 minutes is bearable. Dishwashing sinks with warm water complete the equipment. The leisure options are diverse: a tourist train runs to the extensive sandy beach, there is a pool, new sports equipment and special offers for children, including a bicycle space. The evening program and the large selection of restaurants ensure entertainment and culinary variety. There is a grocery store with fair prices. The high number of bicycles on the site could be optimized by better separation of cycle paths and pedestrian paths. The background noise on the square is remarkable: the chirping of the crickets from morning to evening is very loud and could be annoying for some guests. Despite the proximity to nature, there are surprisingly few mosquitoes, which makes spending time outdoors more pleasant. Unfortunately, the nearby military airport causes additional noise pollution several times a day. The security measures are comprehensive: the complex is completely fenced, a gate to the beach closes in the evening, there is security at the entrance, and guests receive a wristband. Although this provides security, it can also create a feeling of surveillance.

The pitches are arranged in a circle around the restrooms, allowing for short distances and convenient infrastructure. The restrooms are thoroughly cleaned daily, and both toilets with and without seats are available. The showers shut off briefly after 2-3 minutes – a bit of getting used to, but perfectly acceptable. Dishwashing sinks with warm water are also available. The leisure activities are diverse: A tram takes guests to the expansive sandy beach, there's a pool, new sports equipment, and a wide range of activities for children – including a special cycling area. In the evenings, a varied entertainment program and several restaurants provide variety and enjoyment. A well-stocked grocery store with fair prices rounds out the offerings. It's recommended to bring a bike – whether for the short ride to the beach or for tours along the coastal cycle path. While it's not particularly long, it offers the opportunity to cycle left or right into small, charming towns. A clearer separation of cycle paths and footpaths could be improved, as the large number of bicycles sometimes leads to bottlenecks. The site is acoustically unique: the loud chirping of crickets accompanies the day from morning to night – an authentic touch for nature lovers, but a challenge for sensitive ears. Surprisingly pleasant: Despite the green location, there are only a few mosquitoes. Less pleasing is the nearby military airport, whose aircraft noise can be heard several times a day. In terms of security, the site is very well equipped: The grounds are completely fenced, the gate to the beach is closed in the evenings, there are security personnel at the entrance, and all guests wear a wristband. This provides a sense of protection, but can also create the impression of constant surveillance.

Upon arrival, we didn't receive a warm welcome: courtesy and kindness aren't part of the staff's vocabulary. Then there's the problem of the complete lack of supervision over bicycle users: a necessary means of transportation given the enormous size of the campground, there should at least be speed regulations and dedicated lanes, but instead you find yourself constantly besieged by people riding dangerously fast. The pool is completely undersized given the large number of campers and is almost impossible to use. There's a shuttle that takes you to the beach, but in reality, it drops you off quite a distance from it, forcing you to walk a long way under the sun before reaching the beach. The costs for umbrellas and chairs are exorbitant, to say the least, so I recommend bringing your own and using the vast public beach. The campground is pet-friendly, but there are no bins for dog waste: absurd. Then they charge you €15 per day per dog without providing any facilities. Positive note: very windy. Very expensive.

We returned to this beautiful campsite after 20 years, and it's still beautiful: spacious pitches surrounded by greenery, vast spaces for cycling and walking, a wide beach, excellent food, a well-stocked market, varied, quality, and never-intrusive entertainment, and a good beach bar. I would have given it 5 stars if I had also found: a larger pool (the current one is too small for a campsite of this size), more restrooms and fewer squat toilets (more practical and more hygienic), and the ability to pause the shower when you're soaping up. These are all areas for improvement for an already wonderful place!

We stayed at this campsite for two weeks and could have stayed two weeks longer; we immediately felt at home, although there are some areas for improvement. Still, 5 stars because it was such a pleasant stay. First of all, it's a huge campsite, but it's laid out in such a way that you don't experience much of a disturbance. The pitches are very spacious and well-shaded. Upon arrival, a staff member will drive you to your pitch, but you can still choose from available pitches if needed. You then park your car in a central parking lot (plenty of spaces), which makes the campsite car-free and gives it a very welcoming atmosphere. There are also many bungalows and mobile homes for rent, so ideal if you want to go with a large group but not everyone has a caravan or wants to sleep in a tent. The campsite is predominantly Italian, which we loved! A downside for any children is that the entertainment is only in Italian. There's plenty to do, from restaurants and playgrounds to an outdoor gym/Hyrox. We didn't use it, but it all looked great! A bike is a must! You can walk (about 20 minutes) or take the train, but with a bike you'll be there in 5 minutes. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, which costs around 24 to 36 euros per day, depending on which row you choose. You can also use the free section; the beach is wide enough. It's also fun to cycle to Marina di Grosetto (10/15 minutes)! The supermarket has all sorts of things, though the prices are a bit higher than in the shop, but you basically don't need to leave the campsite. The bread is good, and they also have tasty cold cuts and snacks, and there's a fresh fish stall every few days. Lidl is a 15-minute drive away. Unfortunately, there's a military base nearby, and we were really bothered by it the first week, until late at night. The sound was so loud several times that you couldn't hear each other. I do think it depends on the time of year you're there how much practice there is. Furthermore, the restrooms at Stationa (and many other areas) are outdated, but clean. You can shower for about two minutes, and then you have to wait about 30 seconds to a minute. There's a renovated building next to Stationa (Soana or something similar?), and it looks much better. Just non-stop showering with a mixer tap! The dishwashing facilities are also much better there. But hey, it's camping, so a little bit of makeshift is allowed. The final point of attention is the entertainment, which can sometimes be heard throughout the entire campsite until 11:30 PM/midnight. So choose a spot as far away from the entertainment as possible, or bring earplugs :p Expected
