Bougainvillea In Sorrento

A very good pizzeria, highly recommended!

Ice cream was delicious and service was nice

A small restaurant/bar/gelateria on Corso Italia in the center of Sorrento, where you can enjoy lunch or dinner, perhaps taking advantage of the outdoor seating (in a limited traffic zone, so you won't be bothered by passing cars or motorcycles). The dishes are excellent, typical of the area, and the prices are average (though much less than the restaurants down in Marina Grande). The gelato is also good. The staff is friendly and courteous. It's best to park in one of the nearby paid parking garages.

Visited 3 times whilst in Sorrento for lunch, evening meal and coffee/ cake. The bruschetta is absolutely delicious ( so much so I ordered another portion). Ice cream and home baking are delicious, I had the lemon cookies and home made meringue ( separate visits, honest!). Spaghetti for evening meal was, unsurprisingly, very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. Oh and the ice cream, great selection, great taste.

Attended their gelato-making class, and it was so much fun! They were so welcoming, and we had a great experience, definitely recommend!

While visiting the Amalfi coast we found Bougainvillea! We stopped in one evening to try the best FRESH gelato we have ever had. We came back the next day for delicious pizza and an ice cold Coke Zero. The staff is incredibly friendly and the location was perfect to take in all of the people strolling through beautiful Sorrento. BUT the best part of our trip was our gelato making class! From the rich history this family has and the love they pour into all that they do to laughing as we tried our hand at making two gelato flavors. It was an incredible experience! While you are there, ask at the counter about the gelato making class with Teresa! She is wonderful and fun and all of the things that make Bougainvillea a must stop when visiting Sorrento.
