What a wonderful meal. Delicious food, friendly atmosphere and incredible value wrapped up in a local Salerno package. A little off the tourist track, my wife and I had a delightful dinner. A local favorite and an outstanding value. Highly recommended. Organic, freash and just what we were looking for. Farm to table

We traveled through southern, central, and northern Italy. From Bari, Matera, Sorrento, Rome, Florence, and Turin, it was here that I ate the best food. A simple place, but with the most authentic cuisine a foreigner could find, exceptional service from the owner, and prices unlike anything you'd find in any restaurant in Rome. If I ever return to Salerno, it will be to eat here again.

Competent host, able to give adequate advice based on the client's needs

A Cilento cuisine restaurant off the beaten path, very close to the main road. The ambiance is meticulously designed. You order at the counter and the owner serves you at your table, explaining the local dishes. The ingredients are exceptional. The selection of cheeses and cured meats is unmissable. I haven't had a potato gató like this since my mother made it for me. The lemon pasta frittata is exceptional. The broccoli is just the right amount of bitterness. Excellent wine list. I highly recommend it.

Warmth, hospitality, authenticity, and quality were the hallmarks of last night's evening. The restaurant demonstrated professionalism from the moment we heard the words of host Pino, who was attentive to every detail regarding our choice of dish. We didn't take the quality of the service and food for granted, and that's why we're here to share it with you. Botteghelle 65: worth repeating!

The quality products and the owner's passion make this place magical. An excellent wine list completes the experience. Not to be missed.

Very good food, but above all, local! All fresh products, reflecting regional and local culture. The owner is a very friendly man; you can tell he cares, explaining all the dishes served!

Courtesy and quality are the words that best sum up my evening at Botteghelle. We'd heard about it, and since we love the exquisite products, we went. We didn't reserve, but after a bit of a wait, they seated us as soon as a table became available. They have both indoor and outdoor seating; we sat outside, which I loved. We're in Salerno's historic center, near the Duomo, which you can just glimpse, so eating outside is very charming. They offer all high-quality Campanian products, such as their charcuterie and cheese platters, but the bread and olive oil are also not to be underestimated (nothing is left to chance). Dishes include pasta timbales, traditional rustic pizzas, and much more... but if you arrive late like we did, you might find a limited selection because everything is fresh; once it's gone, there's nothing left. The owner also waits at the tables and explains everything he brings to the table, captivating our attention. We ate and drank very well and found the host to be friendly and pleasant. We'll be back. The quality/price ratio is very good.
