Super cute little place with good food. Portions are in the smaller side so you likely need to order a primi and secondi. Owners recommend great wine - some of the best I had in this trip

After having such an appalling experience at a neighboring restaurant, my friend and I stumbled upon this gem. The service, cleanliness, and food was 10/10. And I had the best lasagna ever! Thank you and please give your cute little dog a pet from me! :)

Tuve una de mis comidas favoritas aquí. Esta joya acogedora no podía ser más lindo y la comida era delicioso. Tomé la lasaña boloñesa y un fantástico Tiramisu. Vinos encantadores por copa. Muy buen servicio y quiero decir gracias porque como viajero en solitario, a veces los restaurantes no quieren sentarme. Me dieron una cálida bienvenida y muy contento de haber elegido este pequeño lugar. Fue una comida perfecta y uno de mis lugares favoritos en mi viaje. La gente a mi alrededor claramente estaba disfrutando de su comida también.

Myself and my boyfriend had the best meal of our trip to Lake Como here! Everything was amazing, our waiter was so nice and the food was so so good! We had the pasta speciality dish and tried both the pesto lasagne and the bolognese lasagne. For three main courses, a beer and a generous glass of wine it was €60 which was great value for money in comparison to other meals we had on our trip to Lake Como!

Decent welcome, service and cuisine.
Tiny portions, it was the special of the day at 15e.
I am warned that the credit card does not work, ok, but the person who passes after us pays by credit card?!
2.50e for the carafe of water not the bottle?!

Best food and service we have had throughout our whole honeymoon - and we are nearing the end of trip! We got the lasagna - pesto and bolognese, it was the best I’ve ever had with wonderful cheese and thin pasta. We spent 2 hours there taking it all in instead of rushing off (we got there around 7 - after 8 they were already turning away new table requests as 9 is when they close and they wouldn’t be able to serve fully by then). Servers were all wonderful and never stopped moving to serve everyone even with their small crew.

My wife and I happened on to Ristorante Borgovino as we were walking around the pathways of Varenna during our wedding anniversary trip to Lake Como this past summer. The place looked inviting and comfortable. I had the grilled fish with grilled vegetables and my wife had a salad. Our lunch was delicious, one of the best meals of our trip. It was a nice relaxing lunch.
