First time in Otrante and was recommended we try pucce. Walking through the stores and laneways of Otranto, we stumbled upon a lovely place to sit, relax and have lunch. Giulia was knowledgeable in English language, I muddled through Italian. On the menu was pucce and they had one called Speciale, polpo alla granting. (Octopus). We ordered 2 Hugo spritz also. I highly recommend this sandwich called pucce, and also try with polpo. It was tender to the bite, the bread is a specialty throughout Puglia. Also, the spritz was the best I've had. Went to pay the bill and chatted with Luigi and expressed how much I enjoyed eating here today. His gratitude was to reward hubbie and myself a shot of lemoncello. Beautiful italian hospitality with lovely staff. Very memorable.

Pierre was amazing, as had an issue with the melanzane and arancini (both non veg but not listed as such); however he offered alternatives in a friendly way and the food we had was lovely. There is a dessert with amareno ice/cream, buonissima!

Such a wonderful experience, all hosts were so accomodating and came back every night that we were in Otranto. Can’t wait to come back, it’s a must visit!
