Since February, the creator of this restaurant, which began in the 1960s as a small trattoria for those who worked in the area and couldn't return home for lunch, has passed away. Now, his children and grandchildren continue this gastronomic journey, offering dishes invented by Cavaliere Nino Bontempo. Thank you for allowing us to relish the flavors Nino explained to us, perhaps even sitting down with us, as was the case on the day of my First Communion 58 years ago. Andrea Vanella

23/11/2025: For such a small village, I wasn't expecting such a welcoming restaurant with delicious local specialties! I returned the next day for breakfast. Homemade brioches and granitas, delicious croissants, and a peaceful atmosphere! The staff were professional and extremely kind. I can't wait to go back!

Sfizi Fritti e Poi...

30/11/2025: Tiziana and Peppe have become a local institution. Their establishment is located in one of the most beautiful spots in Messina, and the quality of their aperitivo is simply superb. The squid ink arancini are highly recommended.
27/08/2025: A lovely little restaurant right on the shore. The owner is friendly and his wife is a fantastic cook, making sure you enjoy the delicious flavors of yesteryear. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. When we go to Messina, we always make the most of it by having dinner at "Sfizi e fritti"—it's truly worth it. Thanks, Peppe, the owner.
