We tried a few places for breakfast and coffees before we found this one. They were all ok but this place was the best. Beautiful fresh food, great coffee and juice and the service was outstanding. Friendly, kind and good people. Highly recommend!

Great bar, very cozy. The gentleman behind the bar was incredibly friendly and we felt very welcome. A beer and an Aperol were also included.

I stopped by Bon Bar on Via Arenula for an evening aperitivo and was truly impressed. The place has the charm of a neighborhood deli-bar: small and intimate, yet with great attention to detail and quality ingredients. What really made my experience memorable was the cocktail I ordered: well-balanced, with niche ingredients and a surprising freshness for such an informal bar. The bartender (I presume Pino, from the other patrons' accounts) is clearly talented: creative yet authentic mixology, without exaggeration, with a noticeable personal touch. The service was courteous and attentive, without being intrusive. The atmosphere is also pleasant: discreet music, a relaxed background that encourages conversation. The place, despite being compact, doesn't feel overly crowded, and maintains that welcoming, "familiar" feel. Another plus is the food selection: I glanced at the counter, filled with generous sandwiches, quality Calabrian ingredients, and rustic specialties. Online reviews suggest the sandwiches are also excellent, made with authentic and carefully selected ingredients. The prices are fair, especially considering the central location and the quality of the experience. The aperitif and cocktails offered are excellent value. In short, Bon Bar is a perfect stop if you're looking for a simple yet classy place for a refined drink in a warm, non-touristy atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to try more cocktails... and maybe even a sandwich.

I had four breakfasts in Rome. I don't eat sweets for breakfast, just sandwiches (there are many names for them in Rome, I'll just call them sandwiches) and double espresso. This place was the best breakfast I had in this area, far better than any other, so I highly recommend it. Their piping hot, crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto sandwiches are perfect for a Chinese palate.
