Blue Bay In La maddalena

We discovered Blue Bay during our family vacation in Sardinia with our 3-year-old son. The waitress's welcome was a little cold, and she didn't really make an effort to understand each other, which was a bit of a shame. Fortunately, the chef—who also seems to be the owner—speaks French very well. He presented the menu to us with great friendliness and patience. The dishes were refined, flavorful, and prepared with great care. The desserts were equally delicious. The setting is magnificent, with a splendid view that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Despite the somewhat subpar dining room service, we unhesitatingly recommend Blue Bay for the quality of its cuisine and the chef's warm welcome.

A beautiful eagle's nest location near the sea and beach. You can basically eat and dive right in. The food is excellent, even the Vermentino by the glass. Excellent value for money. I'll be back.

An enchanting place, nestled between the lush vegetation and the lapping of the waves, you'll feel like you're cradled in nature, which provides the perfect backdrop for the excellent cuisine and the courtesy and professionalism of the staff, who strive to satisfy every request, even the most bizarre. This is my second year returning to La Maddalena, and after trying several restaurants, this is the only one I'd return to repeatedly. The price is proportionate to what you're craving. In any case, I'd highly recommend it.

Magnificent place, shame about the short-haired waitress. We were eating, we would have continued, but we wanted tuna tataki, and she wouldn't let us have it at the aperitivo tables, and all the tables were booked. It wouldn't have cost her anything, we would have stayed for more wine... but obviously they don't like making money here. Disappointed!

This is my first time stopping for lunch here, despite having owned a house on the island for many years. It's simply a wonderful discovery. Among the appetizers, excellent cuttlefish spaghetti. Fregola pasta is made to perfection. I think it will become a regular.

A beautiful location overlooking one of the marine paradises we have in our beautiful Italy. Besides feasting your eyes with beauty, it also pampers your taste buds with excellent food, which is not a given given the location. Well-cooked food, friendly and efficient staff, and reasonable prices. A tip: treat yourself to a romantic dinner in this splendid location.

Enchanting place, fresh and spectacular food. I've never dined so wonderfully in 50 years of life. Clean and friendly, the chef is incredibly charming. If there were 1,000 stars, I would have given them all.

Beautiful location by the sea, excellent food and attention to detail.

Excellent value for money. They seated us at a corner table, the best in my opinion, with a direct view of the sea. We ordered mussels (excellent and a very, very generous portion), poached eggs (sorry I didn't write down the name) that we loved, amazing flavor and texture! Delicious! The spaghetti with clams (exquisite), and the tuna tataki (cooked perfectly and very tasty). I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the dishes because it was one of the best dinners we've enjoyed on the island. I'd like to mention one drawback for those of us who hate tobacco smoke: I hope restaurants and outdoor venues prohibit smoking on the premises so as not to disturb customers.
