One of the best trattorias in Genoa. It's a small restaurant, so reservations are recommended. The service is impeccable, and the prices are fair. Try the pesto.

Friendly staff, truly excellent food (we ordered gnocchi with pesto and braised beef). Honestly, you couldn't ask for more. If you plan to go, I recommend booking a few days in advance, given the high attendance.

A typical place in historic Genoa, we stumbled upon it by chance and it was a real discovery. We were greeted with little time to eat due to two sittings, and were served immediately with traditional dishes: Mandilli al pesto, Pasqualina, anchovies, cod fritters... basically, you have to try it!

This evening, my wife and I had dinner in the heart of Genoa's historic center, and we returned home with the wonderful feeling of having chosen the right place.
The welcome was warm and genuine from the first moment. The restaurant is typical of the alleyways: ancient brick walls and arches, which make you think of how much history they've witnessed. The atmosphere is quaint, well-kept, and immaculately clean, from the dining room to the restrooms—a detail that always matters to me.
The table settings are simple. And this, in my opinion, is a very positive aspect: it makes you immediately understand that they get down to business. You come to eat well, without too much fuss, as we say here in Genoa. Enough chit-chat.
Despite the simplicity of the setting, the service was truly exemplary: always present, always attentive, always ready to accommodate every need or desire, but without ever being intrusive. You never feel abandoned. And, far from expected, despite the restaurant being packed, the wait times were impeccable.
The menu deserves a special mention: finally, a classic trattoria offering dishes from the true Genoese tradition. The authentic kind. All the great classics, plus a few options not easily found in other trattorias or restaurants. A pleasant surprise.
What we tried? Everything was truly delicious. Bold flavors, with character. And that's not a minor detail: the portions are truly generous. Even the appetizer could easily have been considered a full course.
The price is absolutely right for the quality and quantity.
And even the fact that the restaurant operates two shifts didn't affect our evening in the slightest: the service was so well-organized that we didn't feel any pressure.
It's a trattoria where the food is excellent, without frills, with substance and identity.
We'll definitely be back.

A very interesting place, excellently prepared traditional dishes, very good pesto. The large central table is very pleasant. Really friendly staff. A little difficult to find a table. Among the characteristic trattorias I've already tried in Genoa, this is one of my favorites.
