EXCELLENT WINES, FANTASTIC PEOPLE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Had an amazing tour with Matilda she has only been here for a few weeks but was an amazing tour guide. The wines were also very well explained by her and the other workers there. We all enjoyed the winery very much!

A territorial excellence that cannot fail to be an enormous added value to our territory.

Nice place for lunch. The risotto is a big over cooked, the only plate we didn’t like so much, but our dog loves it! Liver pasta is great; antipasto mixture plate is great, with local cheese ham and salami. A very kid dog friendly place.

Of the Umbria that excels in the world, the Lungarotti company in Torgiano undoubtedly deserves a place of importance in the ranks of the agricultural sector and, first and foremost, in quality oenology. It all began at the end of the 1940s, thanks to the prophetic foresight of the knight, to say the least. Giorgio Lungarotti, it is with him that the valorisation of the vine, in this small and completely unknown terroir, has taken on considerable importance over the years. The rediscovery of native vines, together with innovative and complex production techniques, will lead the company to explore new horizons. The first tangible results were achieved in the second half of the Sixties, Lungarotti obtained the first DOC in the region for the white and red wines of Torgiano and the fifth in Italy, together with much more suitable regions such as Piedmont, Veneto and Lombardy. In the nineties the DOCG was followed for the Torgiano Rosso Riserva Vigna Monticchio cru. This is why I recommend the guided tour of the cellar, which among other things is completely free.
