10 of us stopped for a quick lunch and YUM … I had focaccia farcita with tomatoes / Mozarella and anchovies and I could have had a second one (was soo good) - una birra media to go with it and bang - job done.

10/09/2025: More attention to cleanliness is needed; it's unthinkable not to check the cups before serving coffee... stained with lipstick. The Sicilian cannoli are very good, but the rest just needs more attention.
26/07/2025: The food and aperitif quality are just decent. The staff seem to be bothered by the Sicilian atmosphere and presence, and that's no mistake. The place is located on the portico of a building that to call a disgrace is an understatement...it should be torn down.

Ristorante Pizzeria Il castello

25/08/2025: Gorgeous location, on Paola's stunning seafront. They have a restaurant, bar, and beach club, and have been family-run for many years. The outdoor spaces could definitely use some updating, but overall, I appreciated the fact that they were open on the seafront, which is already sadly deserted these days with many restaurants empty. They were even serving fresh croissants at 11 p.m., which was great. Fast service and fair prices. As for the fish dinner (don't you dare order meat here), the food is fresh and generally good. They also have a children's menu, and free parking is available in front of the restaurant. A place with tons of potential, but unfortunately, it hasn't quite blossomed as it deserved.
