Bisboccia In Modica

We found this place by chance while wandering around Modica. Inside there are just a few tables, with more seating in an outdoor passage. On the shelves you can find publications about the owners and their philosophy. They promise to serve traditional dishes with their own signature twist. The menu is accessed via a QR code. It’s short but interesting. We tried the caponata and the octopus on a potato bed. Both were delicious, although the potatoes were served a little too cold. For mains, we ordered carbonara and carbonara di tonno. The carbonara was slightly too dry, as if the proportion of pasta to sauce wasn’t quite right. My husband enjoyed the crispy tuna in his carbonara. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, though the price-to-quality ratio and portion sizes felt a bit on the expensive side.

Quiet and away from the crowds. Excellent food, and the pasta alla norma is HIGHLY recommended!

Very nice place to get a super tasty pasta alla norma (if you’re vegan/lactose intolerant you can get it without ricotta) 😋 My friend loved the pistacchio pesto and guanciale pasta! The staff is also very kind and helpful! We really enjoyed our dinner at Bisboccia!

Abbiamo mangiato in terrazza antipasto e primo. Location comoda per il parcheggio che si trova in un vicolo appartato fuori dal traffico. Servizio cordiale, veloce e preciso. tante opzioni senza glutine. Cibo buono. Prezzo circa 35 a testa

While passing through Modica, I simply wanted to have a pasta dish for lunch. We chose this bistro somewhat by chance, and luck worked out very well! I enjoyed a pasta dish with pistachio pesto and Guanciale. I'd never eaten anything like it, and it was a real pleasure. Also noteworthy is the excellent white beer on offer. For dessert, I had chosen the Modica chocolate tasting, but I prefer French chocolate ;) All this in a tastefully designed setting and served by a young couple to whom we can only wish success. A gourmet recommendation!!

Excellent address in the pretty town of Modica. The arancini are excellent, as is the pasta (with the added bonus of gluten-free options). The welcome is very pleasant, we had a great time :) Grazie mille :)

Lunch to forget... pasta alla norma ok... But the tasting of rustici and scacce Modicane... dry and tasteless, almost spoiled, wrong menu (unfiltered beer from the Strait - the filtered one arrived) and without descriptions like the cover charge... For the rest the girls seem there to do the bare minimum... But oh well... I hope to return in the future and be able to re-evaluate my review

Small little nice place, run by a highly dedicated couple, typical Sicilian dishes with some additional modern arrangements. Pasta, arancini, salads, focaccia and more. Sit in our outside. Calm corner downtown. We loved it
