Small place, reservations recommended. Very tasty dishes. Delicious goulash.

That's your place if you're looking for regional food. Place is not too big but spacious enough to accommodate some 20-30 people so best to book in advance. Our host was very accommodating and kind person that recommended some of the best foods. I had "Ljubljanska" which is similar to Schnitzel but with cheese inside and mashed potatoes with bacon. I also had Italian craft beer, lager with crisp and floral notes. My friend had goulash, meet was cooked perfectly and stew had sweet and savory taste. We would definitely be back to have Ljubljanska and goulash again and try Jota soup.

An exceptional place in the city center of Trieste, and the dishes are even better. We tried dumplings with goulash, gnocchi with shank, goulash with potatoes in tecia, and cheek cooked in red wine. Everything was exceptional, and the prices were fair. I highly recommend it.

I frequent the restaurant from time to time. The owner and his wife, who works in the kitchen, are wonderful, exceptionally kind, and pampered throughout my stay. The typical Triestina cuisine, which draws its authenticity and quality from the history of Trieste, with attention to detail, is nothing short of exceptional. Each time I find it improving, and that almost disarms me. A UNIQUE restaurant for its Triestine offerings, especially in the details, with a finesse that ONLY TRUE, competent connoisseurs can grasp and appreciate. Superb. Very good.

A typical restaurant with traditional food: very good, with generous portions (just like at home) that allow you to try multiple dishes. Spectacular desserts, excellent wine, and delicious craft beers. The staff was polite and welcoming, making us feel right at home without being overbearing. Highly recommended.
