Bida - Pasticceria In Ferrara

Unique location with a view of Piazza Trento Trieste. Very good pastry shop which also offers the city's specialties (pampepato, pasticcio, ricciolina). Also ideal for aperitifs. There is no bathroom. It is also possible to pay with the pos even if not appreciated. Staff not very friendly. August 2024: new management. Completely renovated premises. Modern design, light and bright colors. At the moment I can't give a completely positive evaluation: the aperitifs have improved, with a greater quantity of appetizers. I have some doubts about the confectionery offer which is very distant from the traditional Ferrara pastry shop. There are culinary traditions that should not be lost. We will see…

We had a coffee break this morning and I tasted some excellent pastries and excellent coffee. Very good recommended, I will return often

The real babà of Naples in Ferrara! The small pastry shop is good.

I broke my morning hunger with the pain au chocolat from the new "Apulian" Bida: a well-leavened, light product with just the right amount of chocolate (for my tastes). The hand of the expert pastry chef is perceptible. I haven't tried anything else but I'm happy with the first impression. Eagerly waiting to taste the great Christmas leavened products. The spaces are the narrow ones of the past with the possibility, for those who are unable to eat at the counter, to sit at the tables outside.

We had a short aperitif, the quantities are small compared to other bars but the prices do not change, even the coke was smaller than those provided elsewhere but the price is unchanged, the food is decent.

Year after year one cannot help but continue to appreciate one, if not the best, pastry chef in Ferrara. ❤️
