Dinner as a couple. We returned after 2 years because the last time we were so impressed by the food, the location and the service, so much so that we ate there two days in a row (lunch and dinner). Nothing to take away from the location and the service (always very kind and always with a smile), this time we were a little disappointed by the cuisine, it seems that something has changed. We ordered a pulled venison sandwich, delicious!!! 😍
Followed by a guitar with wild boar ragù and a Jerusalem artichoke risotto: the ragù was excellent but unfortunately I expected the guitar to be different, I don't want to say too much but it didn't seem homemade... For the risotto it looked like a risotto based on parmesan and Jerusalem artichoke there was no trace only of the chips placed on the rice. I was expecting a creamed risotto with Jerusalem artichoke cream.
Follow the duck! Accompanied by pumpkin and black cabbage...a little too far ahead of cooking for my tastes.
All accompanied by a Primitivo di Manduria Mezzanotte, good wine! I would have gladly done an encore!
We care a lot about this place and we will return, because we hope that it was just an accident and that next time it will satisfy our palate as best as possible 😀

I was very disappointed by a place that is not a simple restaurant
Having an allergy to pepper, I couldn't eat any first course since they all contained pepper except the Genoese.
Upon my request to have a first course off the menu, even a simple one, I was denied on the premise that the place was completely empty, we were only two customers. I deduce that the chef is either lazy or unimaginative.

Locale nella piazza principale pedonale di Castel di Sangro
Cucina rivisitata che conserva i vecchi sapori abruzzesi
Servizio professionale ma se un cliente chiede un solo calice di vino e non la bottiglia, forse conviene accertarsi prima di servirlo che sia stato conservato meglio, era troppo “stantio”
Dolci ottimi, conto congruo, sicuramente da tornarci.

Serata perfetta all’insegna di piatti ottimamente realizzati d presentati! Il servizio attento e puntuale ha completato la ns. esperienza in questo ristorante in cui anche un ‘pollo e friggitelli’ ha assunto lo standing di un piatto gourmet! Da tornarci e da consigliare

A good restaurant located in a nice place. Excellent first courses. I ate a Genoese dish that was on par with the best Neapolitan restaurants. The coda alla vaccinara is of the same level. The second courses are good (entrecot and chicken in particular). Perhaps the wine list is not up to par with many labels not available. I recommend it to those who are unsure.

I always come back to Beccaccino, along with a few other restaurants, with pleasure, and every time it is a reconfirmation of how good it is there.
Airy and spacious place, a rarity in the area, with well-spaced tables and relative privacy.
Always impeccable service: smiling, friendly, attentive.
Different menu compared to all the others, so when you don't want the usual cuisine offered in the area this is one of the destinations to evaluate.
Yesterday I focused, strangely, on seafood dishes, I usually prefer to opt for local dishes, and the cuttlefish tagliatelle with pea and lime cream was crazy, and the fried monkfish was also up to par... Tasty, crunchy on the outside, wet inside...

The expectations created do not fully reflect expectations, overall we ate well, even if the choice is limited, 4 starters and 4 first courses for a restaurant of this kind leave a little to be desired. Discreet assortment of cellar. We can do better, the potential is there...!!!
