Excellent ice creams inspired by the philosophy of natural products and the territory. Excellent proposals. Unfortunately the place is very small and the space where to consume the ice cream is really limited with only a few stools on the sidewalk. Products like those proposed deserve a different location.

Per noi Basium è diventato un appuntamento fisso tutte le volte che ci troviamo a Civitanova. Gusti strepitosi, materie prime eccellenti, ricerca e innovazione, particolare attenzione a chi cerca gusti vegani o senza lattosio o ipocalorici (ma non mancano i gusti più tradizionali per chi non è soggetto a particolari regimi dietetici). Chiaro, l’eccellenza si paga: non è un gelato economico (si parte da 3,50 € per cono/coppetta piccoli, ma le porzioni sono abbondanti), alcuni gusti sono preparati con materie prime talmente ricercate da costare un +0,70€ di supplemento (ma ci si può limitare ai gusti “standard”) e l’acquisto di una vaschetta può diventare realmente impegnativo. In conclusione, se siete abituati ad accontentarvi di gelati finto-artigianali, spacciati tout court come artigianali, allora Basium non fa sicuramente per voi. Se invece apprezzate un gelato particolare, il gusto delle materie prime freschissime, a km zero, se avete intolleranze alimentari o siete vegani ecc. allora vi innamorerete di questa gelateria! Dovrebbe esserci un Basium in ogni città.

Passing through Civitanova, I had read about this place and intrigued we went. Study, research, experimentation and excellent raw material... have as a result a really good ice cream... to taste and savor calmly... All accompanied by the friendliness and education of the owner.

Walking on an ordinary Sunday, I came across this ice cream shop in Civitanova Marche! The decor is basic, but this is not a problem at all, because what really matters are the refined and unusual flavors they offer. The variety of ice creams is surprising: from pure saffron, delicious and intense, to 100% cocoa mass chocolate and ginger, to more original flavors such as stracchino and turmeric, sheep ricotta, Mediterranean pistachio. Some of these flavors have a surcharge of only 70 cents on the basic price, but it is absolutely worth it for the quality and originality. It is clear that behind it there is careful research and a lot of craftsmanship: each flavor has the provenance of the raw materials well specified, with citations of the supplier companies, demonstrating particular attention to quality and transparency. A truly excellent artisanal ice cream experience, absolutely worth trying!
