I've been there several times and, each time, it manages to surprise me more and more!
I highly recommend trying it, especially for the typical Piedmontese dishes: authentic, rich in flavor and truly satisfying.
The place is small but cozy, made even more pleasant by the courtesy and friendliness of the staff.
A place that feels like home, where you always want to return!

one of the best restaurants ever. noteworthy appetizers, meat and agnolotti. top service. interesting the possibility of ordering half portions, to taste a bit of everything.

maybe the expectations were too high but honestly the food was absolutely normal, nothing that stood out. very normal Piedmontese appetizer from the deli, normal agnolotti, lightly seared battuta (halfway between hamburger and raw) that I wouldn't take back, good tagliarin, butter and anchovy. Nice place but quite narrow, not suitable if you have children. the price seemed high compared to what was offered.

Really nice place with very kind staff and really good food. Also great is the possibility for first and second courses to take half portions so you can taste more dishes (the dishes in the photos are half portions)

Mixed opinions for this place. The food is average, decent. The internal environment is a little too congested. The biggest problem was the service: extremely slow in preparing the dishes (about 50 minutes to get the first course), and decidedly slow.
I don't know, maybe we caught a bad evening among the staff but apart from one of the waiters, who was very smiling and kind (but who didn't serve us), the others who served us were decidedly too abrupt and hasty. It was also our first Piedmontese dinner and we were trying to understand how the typical dishes were prepared when ordering. All this combined with the excessive waiting (we were about to get up and leave when the dishes arrived), do not allow me to give a high rating.

Overall good food although a little below expectations. I suggest getting some lights or lanterns for the outdoor area because it gets really dark in the evening.

trattoria tipica in san salvatio , calca e accogliente . locale minuscolo , forse fin troppo affollato . tavoli con piano in marmo ,tovagliette in carta , sedie in legno come vuole la tradizione . ottima la selezione di antipasti piemontesi . insalata russa da manuale . squsiti gli agnolotti al barbera . tagliolini al burro croccanti e gustosi . buon servizio . prezzo onesto 25 euro a persona . bagno pulito ma un po' da rivedere .
