baraka' In Orbetello

The place is beautiful, and even the outdoor tables are really nice. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The menu is very unique and varied; it would be nice to try all the dishes. They also have a list of cocktails they make themselves, and they're delicious (we tried two). The food is very good and, as I mentioned before, very unique. The only downside is the quantity-to-price ratio: the dishes are very expensive, and reading the menu, it seems like they have a one-course meal rule (no appetizer, first course, or second course). In these cases, one-course meals should be enough to fill one person up. To our disappointment, however, an €18 plate of spaghetti was a modest-sized first course, which forced us to order other dishes, making the dinner very expensive. I still recommend this place for trying unconventional food and enjoying excellent cocktails.

We've been to this delightful place twice. It's well-kept and welcoming both inside and out. The food is carefully selected, with options for all tastes, very balanced and flavorful. We tried the fried rice, the Chianina burger, the tabbouleh, and the shawarma. The desserts were excellent: mango and coconut cheesecake with a delicious sauce and a tartlet with orange cream. I don't drink, but our friends had excellent wines, beers, and tasty cocktails. Last but not least, the exquisite cuisine of the owners, Matteo and Anna, who made us feel welcome, and the kindness of the staff make this a favorite place to return to, even for a chat. This restaurant pays homage to the State of Presidi. The Spanish influence is evident in the atmosphere, in the selection of some of its dishes, and in the Amargo, a bitter liqueur whose owners preserve an ancient recipe. This is what is written on its label: "Born from a 17th-century recipe, developed for the viceroys of Spain when Orbetello was the capital of the State of Presidi. Amargo is born from a skillful infusion of 22 perfectly balanced medicinal herbs. A glass of Amargo is a true encounter with history. Yesterday an exclusive treat for viceroys, today a bitter liqueur for everyone. Che dire? Ho trovato amici, mi son fermato per caso ed è diventato il posto fisso ogni sera, come se fosse il mio bar sotto casa. Matteo il gestore è una persona illuminata, si capisce da come si pone alla gente. Una nota di merito è l'invenzione del loro amaro, l'Amargo, sa di storia e di territorio. Solo complementi

Maravillosa bienvenida y servicio personal. Excelente comida de un menú muy interesante. El coste de los platos era de 20 euros o menos. Teníamos un precio razonable vino local y súper comida.
