We had lunch at midday, truly a surprise, the homemade pasta was super, like everything else. We will definitely be back, maybe in the evening, in fact, certainly since we were in a rush at midday.

There are few places to have a lunch where it's really worth it in this area and this is one of them.

I don't have many adjectives to describe Tony's restaurant and his cuisine. The menu consists of 7/8 dishes cooked with the freshest ingredients and presented by Tony at the table. The quality of the ingredients and Tony's creativity make the dishes of the highest level. Finally, the environment is informal and friendly - Tony always stops at the table to have a chat. By far the best restaurant in the province (and beyond). I forgot, with €50/60 you can eat 4 courses, homemade bread, all accompanied by a glass of good wine.

I had not eaten since an early breakfast and been driving all day this Friday mid January of 2025. I had just visited the Alessi factory store in Omegna to purchase some gifts for friends and family and still had some 200+ kilometers to drive before being back home. Consulting Google Maps the Barabba restaurant seemed to be a very good choice for an early dinner. It was said it was open from 6 p.m., but this, I rapidly learnt was for an aperitivo. Dinner was not on until an hour and a half later. I suppose the owner/cook saw my deception and decided to cook for me something that was certainly not on the menu that I never consulted at the same time he served me a glass of red from Puglia. It was the perfect meal, served on tableware from Alessi on a red and white table cloth and linen napkins. This is a suprisingly good eatery located on the western side of the main road connecting Gravelona T to Omegna. Highly recommended, I will certainly return when back in the region.
