A rotisserie and bar discovered by chance on the recommendation of locals I met on the beach. For those looking for good food at a fair price, this is the place to be. One of the best Sicilian culinary experiences, perfect for those who want to avoid the tourist traps of Ortigia.

It can be chaotic at times, but the staff is helpful, fast, and attentive. The savory options are delicious, as are the desserts and granitas. It's a must-visit for many tourists and locals alike. The outdoor seating area and the air-conditioned interior are both pleasant. I recommend trying the arancini, well-cooked and seasoned. The coffee is good, and much more.

I don't know these bars very well, they don't have a gluten free service, I don't know what to recommend but I think the desserts are good and fresh

We stopped at this neighborhood pastry shop several mornings for breakfast or lunch. We tried several pastries, our favorites being the mini-arancines that we received with an Aperol spritz, fresh, hot, and very tasty.

Always a point of reference for pastry, mouth-watering hot food, whatever you choose. Unfortunately the lady at the cash register ruins everything, she doesn't answer greetings and is rude, I changed bars just for her. The husband is fantastic, the height of education. But the 2 things are not compatible for the business

05/09/2025: These are not recent photos from a lunch I had with friends some time ago, but I must say that everything was perfect, from the fish to the wines, of which they have a wide selection.
02/09/2025: Fantastic experience! We went to Locanda Del Collegio without a reservation and had a wonderful meal. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service is prompt and efficient. The place is very charming and has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the background music is very pleasant. The menu is extensive and, despite its seafood focus, also includes meat dishes. The portions are generous, but still enjoyable.

U Palangaru Ristorante

12/07/2025: U Palangaru, renowned and now famous in Portopalo. One of the busiest restaurants, for sure. The strong points are definitely the atmosphere, which I've always found very relaxing, and the Chef's appetizer: Una Bomba. The only flaw? The overpriced first and second courses. In Portopalo, I still haven't found a restaurant that stands out from the crowd. The usual first courses with cherry tomatoes, pistachios, shrimp, etc. No one ever stands out. I recommend trying something new, the potential is there. The combination menu idea is also nice.
05/07/2025: The menu offers a wide choice, especially fish, but also pizzas. I definitely recommend the chef's appetizer: a rich and carefully selected selection of tastings (even if calling them "tastings" is definitely reductive!) that alone is worth the visit, and the tuna alla matalotta. Others with me opted for the first courses and I would say that they were impressed by both the quality and the generosity of the portions. The lemon jelly for dessert is also good! The restaurant offers the possibility of eating both inside and outside.
